Cam broke Sarah's heart 16 years ago, never once made contact or sought her out, only to claim repeatedly that his reason for leaving was to become the man she deserves... 16 years later they run into each other through luck, accident, fate, karma. If you haven't looked someone up on Facebook in 16 years total and multiple years living in the same city, then you're either full of crap, not that into someone, or the laziest romantic on the planet. An overall pretty unfulfilling read.
My biggest issue with the book was Cameron never really explained why it took him so long to find her. He apparently had been back in town for 2 years and they just happened to run into each other. If she meant that much to him, why didn't he search for her sooner. I know he said he wanted to be the man she deserved, but I'm sure just by him looking for her, she would have appreciated that. I truly think this book could have been better had it been a little longer and things weren't so rushed. Most of the book takes place in just one day.
4 ½ Sweet Stars.

Marry your best friend for financial reasons or marry for love…
Sarah and Cameron has a rocky start, can Sarah believe Cameron wants her after all these years…? Why didn’t he look her up if he wants to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend?
This is my very first book written by BJ Harvey and I really enjoyed this quick read. I was given the opportunity to read and review an early copy of Game Breaker by the author in exchange of an honest review.
The reoccurring question I had while reading this book is...16 years is a very long time to leave, only to return and try to build back the relationship. Why did it take Cam 16 years to claim Sarah back? And why didn't he contact her even once during his absence?
If you're looking for a lighthearted, sweet read, this book is for you!
***ARC received in exchange for an honest review***
Game Breaker is about a woman named Sarah who reconnects with her ex, Cameron, right be she is supposed to say "I Do" to save her family home. When she and Cam spend time together, she has to decide if she should actually go through with the marriage or give a relationship with Cam another try. I liked this quick story of two people getting a second chance at love. This novella was on the shorter side, which didn't leave a lot of room for a more in-depth reunion and starting a relationship. I would love for this to be a full length novel, as I would love to read more about the characters background and to see them work through everything. If you are looking to read a quick, fun, light on the angst love story, then this is the book for you.
A great addition to this series that I have adored from the start.

Sarah should have known better than to agree to this plan from the moment...Read more
