The examples are very useful, creative and reliable.
Gamification of Learning included the game methodology, the steps, rules, player profile and his motivation.
This book explain that you can use the game methodology and tactics to solve real and daily problems.
The book covers the rational for gamification, with a wealth of research, explains what it is, AND how to develop it. As a learning developer, I was particularly interested in the chapter about the gamification design process. I liked all the chapters by the contributing writers, who are leaders in their fields, particularly Alicia Sanchez's case study about casual games in the defense industry.
I have always admired Karl Kapp's grasp of both academic research and professional implications of new learning trends. This book is both a great inspiration for learning professionals and an awesome introduction to students in the field.
