I found the drawings were great and the story was interesting but very weird. This unusual and strange tale is about a group of people who may or may not have died but are somehow thrown together in uncanny and frightening situations. There is not a whole lot of dialog, but the story moves along quickly as each section of the story is told.
I love American graphic novels like Jonah Hex, The Punisher and other action characters, but I found it difficult to grasp the message this particular Japanese Manga story was supposed to relate to the reader.
As someone who has been into numerous Japanese martial (Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Kenjutsu, Tanto-Jutsu) and cultural arts (Haiku, Tanka and Senryu poetry) I do appreciate different cultural trends, but I admit to not being into the Manga books. If you are into this kind of Japanese Manga stories you may want to check out this kind of story.
Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Martial Art and Warrior Haiku and Senryu)
