First Problem - No battery - Garage door opener was supposed to come with a battery, it did not! Second problem - No instructions at all, not 1 piece of paper. Third problem Bought and installed the battery and looked online for programming instructions, and then programmed the remote to the garage door. That's when the real problems started, the door started going up and down by itself, randomly!!!!! At this point, I was fit to be tied, and did the return paperwork and spent the extra few dollars and purchased the actual "Linear" remote from a different seller. Works like a dream! Do yourself a favor, and purchase the remote that says "Linear" on it!!!!

I received it on 06/10/19. Linked it to the garage two days later on 06/12/19. On 7/20/19 one of the units worked intermittently. As of today, 07/25/19 it doesn't work altogether. I've tried resetting it and it still doesn't work... I've attempted to trouble shoot it multiple times doing various things and it's dead in the water. Tried using the customer service with no luck either. As they say buy nice or buy twice. This definitely reinforces that statement.

One of them worked just great and the programming took affect immediately. I gave up on programming the second one after half an hour of trying every combination I could think of. I wanted to rule out that it wasn't the openers fault, so I zeroed out all my remotes (I had 2 others previously for this opener), and then I reprogrammed them all again. 3 of them programmed instantly and they work great, but this fourth one just won't program, the opener doesn't recognize it. Oh well at least one of them works.

When I tried to program these remotes the first one wouldn't work with my garage door opener but the second one connect right away. I tried several different things to try to get the second remote to connect to include replacing the battery and resetting all the codes on my opener but could never get the second remote to connect. The light on the remote comes on but no connection. As I only really need the one remote I didn't return them but gave the 2-star rating instead. Having the second remote working would have been better.

The hardest part of programming is getting a ladder to push the button on the overhead garage door opener. Instructions are adequate (made to sound more complicated that it truly is) and in understandable English. The one button unit is much easier if you wish to control one door.

I didn't have any problems like some others did. The unit looks just like the OEM Linear unit. Actually it has a more positive click engagement than the OEM unit. The programming was easy, just hit the learn button on the motor unit and then click which button you want to use for that garage door! I programmed all three buttons to my single garage door, so I can hit any button and the garage opens! I was amazed how easy to program this was. I can open the door now from the next door neighbors in the middle of the street, so the range is good. The price is even better!

After receiving the remotes I read the reviews (cart before the horse thing) and was mortified that I had bought some garbage. The directions were very very basic 1.) push "learn" button on Linear unit 2.) push button on controller. I was like ok for how long do I push and do I push simultaneously?

Ok so it was way more simple than I was anticipating.... I literally pushed the "learn" button on the main unit (the light will blink) then I pushed the (first) button on the actual remote and just like that the main unit blinked a couple of times and after they stopped the remote was sync'd and working.

Oh and a battery did come with mine, so maybe the company got the message from other users.

Purchased two. One stopped working after 10 months (support window was 6 months). It seems that the battery running out caused the remote to lose its brains. I put two new batteries in both units, and cleared the memory of my Linear LD050 opener. Reprogramming the good one was perfect. The bad one would not reprogram. But with the battery in the bad one, my garage door opened and closed randomly on its own, like it was just spewing codes all the time. Very strange. This happened even with the battery removed from the good one. This explains why our door was open at times over the last month when we came home (despite me closing it when we left). My plan now is to regularly replace the batteries well before they die. See my next review for the results of that experiment (late 2021?).
