Edit: After a full winter of pushing white powder, the bottom edge oxidized and left rust marks on the garage floor storage area. Hang this beast for minimum floor staining impact.
the thing to remember is its a pusher shovel, so when we got 6 ionches i went out every hour and pushed what was on the ground. the extra supports stopped the blade from bending. my wife shovels when i am at work, se complained it was too heavy so i got her a plastic blade shovel. we had so much snow her blade wore out.
things to remember, when season is over put it away inside (to protect wood handle), also dont leave outside in snowstorm this will disapper in a second)
final note , understand the second to last thing i want to do is shovel snow, the last thing is have to run to hd in a snow storm because i cheaped out on a shovel.
However, you just can't find things built this solidly anymore. I actually should give it five stars, because if I were a short person, it would be the perfect shovel.
However, this should be just one tool in your snow removal arsenal. Don't expect to use this shovel if your goal is to lift scoops onto existing piles. Even the 24" shovel is a bit too heavy for that purpose if you've got a lot of shoveling to do. Get yourself a smaller flat blade or scoop style like the Suncast SG1600 for lifting and breaking up the clods that the plows left at the end of the driveway.
