I put a 128Gb memory card in the camera and clear it of unwanted videos and pictures every 4 or 5 days. I have never exceeded 2% capacity so unless you are planning on leaving the camera out for months before downloading you don't need more than about a 64GB card. Probably a 32GB would suffice.
The motion sensors can pick up a small dog walking from at least 80 feet away. I set the camera on my porch pointed toward the street infront of my house which is easy 70 ft away and easily picked up vehicles, people and animals traveling down the street. I even picked up someone walking the street at midnight. He stopped and stared at my house before moving on. I wonder who that was.
The attached video is of a fox running across the frozen lake behind my house. The fox was at least 50+ feet away and the time is around dusk. I had the camera set to the highest video quality. The camera is attached to a tree about 10 feet from the lake. I was able to upload the video over WIFI from my deck 40ft away which was nice since the yard between my house and the lake is steep and at the time was covered with snow and ice. The picture of the mink on my seawall was taken after dark. Unfortunately the animal was at the bottom of the frame but you can still make out what it its.
I worked in IT technical support and I can confirm the GardePro technical support is excellent. I had trouble getting the camera to connect via WIFI to my phone. Tao and his techs went above expectations to resolve the problem. I especially appreciated the excellent communications with the support staff. They kept me informed about what they were doing so I didn't have to wonder if they were making any progress.
I personally like to set my camera to the highest MP since when I upload to my laptop I can enlarge a picture of an animal far away and still get good detail.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this camera.
