I didn't realize that it is not only a novella (it's pretty decent size for a novella by the way--156 pages) but it is also a spin-off of another series. However, I didn't feel like I "missed" anything so I think it can definitely be read alone but after reading it, I'm intrigued to read other books in this world!
Eden's mom takes her away for her own protection but no matter where she goes, trouble finds Eden and I look forward to reading more of her journey!
This was a great first taste to a great series, I was flipping the pages in my disbelief that it was over. I. Love. Asher!
Oh my god, he is everything a book boyfriend should be and more. I also loved their relationship, and how Eden and Asher interacted with each other. They were just so cute, I was biting my smile and giggling almost half the time.
Everything was just so unique, the characters were loveable I seriously felt for Eden and her hard choices. Absolutely gorgeous book, great read, loving characters and a twist to kick you out of your chair! Five Stars all the way!!
The story world that she has created with Eden and Asher was beautiful. Vividly described and vibrant!!
I truly enjoyed the snarky humor of Eden. She has a vibe that portrays confidence with an uncertainty that you would come to expect from a teenager with a very interesting and problematic trait. She has so much that she wants to know about herself and learn about how to navigate in the world and it was really wonderful to watch her transform from a scared and confused girl to someone with a bit more confidence and certainty about her place.
And Asher...boy oh boy. L.L. does a great job at writing a very yummy book boy. I am anxious to see where he falls into the rest of Eden's story.
I am impatiently awaiting the next book in this series!!
Well written and worth the read!!
