Carbonfree Certified determine the carbon footprint of the product, and associated carbon emissions are offset with reduction projects.
Each Carbonfree Certified product goes through a cradle-to-grave assessment to determine the product’s carbon footprint. The carbon emissions associated with the product are reduced where possible, and remaining carbon emissions are offset with third-party verified carbon reduction projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency and forestry.
USDA Organic products are grown and processed according to standards addressing soil and water quality, among other factors.
USDA Organic products must be produced using farming practices that maintain and improve soil and water quality, minimize the use of synthetic materials, conserve biodiversity, and avoid genetic engineering, among other factors. Crops can be certified organic if they’re grown without prohibited substances such as most synthetic fertilizers and pesticides for three years prior to harvest. Products that contain a minimum of 95 percent organic ingredients and use the USDA Organic seal are part of Climate Pledge Friendly.

I was also concerned about the container only being half full, so I weighed it. Put the bowl on, zeroed out the scale, and dumped as much of the powder out as possible. Not quite 209g but I weighed just one scoop full after, and it came out to 11g with the scoop. Approximately one scoop full away from the 209g, but that is absolutely no big deal! The back does say approximately 30 servings, so I’m guessing I’ll get 29.I am not one that hates the taste of grass, I love wheat grass shots and mixing it in with smoothies! So, I just mixed an even scoop of the powder with a bottle of water and 1 TBSP of chia seeds, then let it sit for 10 minutes. I shook my bottle. A lot. It does leave a grainy feel in the mouth, so if that bothers you, definitely mix with milk or in a smoothie. Sipping it, it tastes like cool matcha tea (which makes me question the matcha I’ve been buying, but that’s another review); chugging it, it tastes just like the smell of grass clippings. Personally, I have no problem with the taste, and I do feel awake after drinking this first thing in the morning...and I never feel awake these days!My problem, and the reason for the two stars, is because I just learned that Nestlè bought Garden of Life. The pure evil Nestlè that “incentivized” doctors of third world countries to push their formula despite undrinkable water, and the same Nestlè that uses child slavery to pick their chocolate.So if that doesn’t bother you, and hey, you form your own opinions of brands and make your own choices about how YOUR dollar votes, I give the powder five stars...I give Garden of Life as a whole now only one...averaged as best as possible with this rating system!

I have a very picky two year old and finding ways to get fruits and veggies in him is nearly impossible. I thank god that I came across this product! At first I was very hesitant (he was as well) because the look and smell is just awful. I put a TINY bit in his coconut yogurt and added dark chocolate chips and the kid gobbled it up! Over time I added more and more and now he is up to almost two scoops per yogurt. He loves it. This is a kid who is so picky that he won't even touch pizza, pasta, or other fun kid foods. If he likes this product than I can almost guarantee you will too. The most amazing part about this product is his health has improved tremendously. He was a very sickly kid, he spent his life in and out of the hospital, and now he has the strongest immune system of everyone is our household. I am forever grateful!

I am not one that hates the taste of grass, I love wheat grass shots and mixing it in with smoothies! So, I just mixed an even scoop of the powder with a bottle of water and 1 TBSP of chia seeds, then let it sit for 10 minutes. I shook my bottle. A lot.
