Editorial Reviews

Review

Beautifully illustrated, Gardening Like A Ninja shows aspiring gardeners how to have edible plants which are useful for everyday cooking, also create a sustainable and beautiful landscape that's easy to maintain. Anyone can save both time and money using the visually appealing and edible designs and harvest the fruits from your delicious paradise... Exceptionally well written, organized and presented, Gardening Like A Ninja is very highly recommended for both community and academic library Gardening instructional reference collections. --Midwest Book Review

One of the many things that stood out in Gardening Like a Ninja were the stunning photos and illustrations. These landscapes aren't just delicious, they re decorative too. By following Angela's advice you'll end up with a garden that's pleasing to the eye and the palette. Each garden design has a blend of color, texture, fragrance, and even varying heights to provide a unique aesthetic, that's expertly planned. This book will help you grow your own gardening skills while you transform your landscape. The lists of edibles Angela covers is extensive, covering vines, trees, ornamentals, and shrubs. There's something for everyone, even the experienced gardner can learn how to sneak some of these edibles into a front yard. --Elizabeth Bruno - Mamavation

Gardening Like a Ninja was a fun and very informative read and I'd recommend it to anyone who has a love of gardening even if you're not interested in adding edibles to your landscape. There's a lot of helpful hints to keep your plants healthy and happy, regardless of use. I particularly enjoyed the second chapter where there are numerous before and after photos of landscapes, with the author adding her how/why for various plants, styles, etc. It gave me a lot of ideas of what to do with my own yard. In addition to the illustrations, there are a LOT of photographs that really add to the quality of the book and make for a great read. This is one gardening book that you'll be referring to again and again. --Feathered Quill Book Review --This text refers to the paperback edition.
