The 9” depth provides excellent soil volume promoting soil saturation and healthy root growth. Three heavy-duty galvanized steel chains with stainless steel "S" hook included for easy hanging. Arrives ready for planting; complete with pre-installed heavy gauge plastic liner for added water retention. I bought this on a sale, so while I don't think it would be worth full price, I'm pleased with it. I bought a group of these to help with a long and very sterile entryway in my home, and I needed something that could hold flowers but not be in the way (the entryway is also very narrow, so anything on the ground would have blocked the path too much). The baskets are larger than I'd thought, which was a bonus, and they went into the wall easily enough. I've put flower pots in each of them, and the effect is quite lovely.

Now, I have these in a relatively sheltered area outside in Hawaii. They do get rained on once in a while, but I don't actually keep the flowers in the baskets unless I'm going to have people over. I had to put the baskets a little high, and I'm too short to water them when they're so out of reach. I only mention this because I don't know how they'd hold up if plants were in them 24/7. So far, they seem fine, and they really do look great.

I'd buy these again.

Beautiful but quite delicate

I just planted this basket and placed it outside beside my front door. It's a beautiful basket and a lovely rustic accent to the entrance of my home. However, the pieces of wood that make up the basket (wrapped around a metal frame) seem a bit flimsy. I have a feeling that this planter won't stand up to the elements for more than one or two seasons. In contrast, I usually use a metal wall basket with a replaceable coco liner that I've had for about ten years. I don't expect this have that kind of longevity. But what it lacks in durability, it makes up for in beauty.

I wouldn't recommend this for indoor use if you plan to use it as a planter. It has many drainage holes in the plastic liner. It could be hard to contain the runoff to spare anything underneath it.

This wall basket coordinates beautifully with the Gardman R292 Rustic Rattan Hanging Urn Basket which I have two of hanging close by.

Nice looking, not very sturdy

I planted multiple types of sedums in this basket to give as a birthday present to my friend. The finished product was LOVELY, but the handle was very flimsy when I picked it up. I had to advise my friend to brace it at the bottom when she hung it on her patio, as it seemed like it wouldn't support the weight of the plants. I paid over $23 for this basket, and that was way too much considering how flimsy it is.

I like the rustic look of this wall planter. It arrived a little frayed though, and the so-called plastic liner is an old piece of plastic sheeting, roughly sewn into the basket. I had expected a hard plastic liner. I reinforced the plastic before inserting a live plant. Don't want water running down the wall. For the price it's a good buy.

Bought this to hang on the kitchen wall above the juicer hoping I could store some items that I would like to keep handy nearby. It is larger than it appears, quite roomy and for a planter it would be lovely...probably recommend using outdoors. It is a bit rough and rustic. But for my needs of storage it is too big, bulky and awkward. It will definitely get a sunshine bath and some hanging petunias on the deck next spring!
