I just purchased another of these switches (from my local hardware store this time) and picked up the rubber boots this time. Hopefully this one lasts longer! FYI, this is a break-before-make switch, which is generally what most people want.
The throw resistance is stiff, but that is the price you pay for a high quality switch.
Does what its suppose to do. I bought it because it had wire leads which enabled me to easy wire to existing wiring in my GE Microwave.
A shorted incandescent bulb ruined the Microwave's control circuit for over the counter lighting; i.e. any replacement bulbs were always ON. I chose not to spend hundreds of dollars to correct that situation, but instead installed this switch in the bottom pan of the Microwave. Since I have also converted to 5 watt LED bulbs, which besides saving power and heat, are smaller than the incandescent bulbs. At the time I bought these LED bulbs, I could only find them from Chinese Suppliers on EBAY.
