This is a good product, but be aware that it is thicker than the lithium battery. I have a case that fits on my backpack strap that I carry my Garmin on. When this battery pack is on the radio it does not fit in my case. Not a huge issue for me because this is mainly intended as a backup battery pack.

I would give 5 stars if was not so heavy and bulky(twice as thick as standard pack)(takes 4AA, should have been designed to take 2AA) (NEGATIVES: does not fit in pockets, heavy and loose when clipped on garments/belts, awkward to hold in palm).
I give it 3 stars because its the only product/way available to charge the GPS without having to use the garmin rechargeable battery pack the GPS comes with , which is completely unreliable and dangerous to rely on in the wilderness , making this product a necessity.

Really works good because the original battery packs are rechargeable and only last a couple of years, and really expensive to replace, all you need to do is get good quality rechargeable battery's and put them in the packs and your set,

I purchased this for my new Rino, but have not had a chance to use it. I have used a similar battery pack on my older Rino and purchased this based on my experience with the other one. There have been times where my GPS has not gotten charged before an outing and I've had to rely on the battery pack. I carry this as an emergency backup to the rechargeable batter, just remember that you'll need 4 AA batteries too.

After spending an unplanned night in the woods I've come to believe in redundancy, especially when it comes to my GPS and flashlights.

These are a very good way to augment a Garmin power supply. I have rechargeable AA batteries and a solar charger for them. Good for longer term trips. There are a number of portable chargers for AAs that may not be available for the regular garmin pack. One can readily get fresh AAs almost anywhere.

Bought three 655t and three of these battery packs for a hunt in Colorado wilderness. The 4 AA alkaline batteries would last about 8 hours so I had to change batteries everyday (no problem, I was prepared for this). However, the metal tabs on this battery pack that make contact with the battery broke three days into the hunt. Rendered the GPS useless. I purchased the battery pack on September 16th, it broke on November 4th, I contacted the seller (iSave) through Amazon on November 23rd and they indicated the part is out of warranty and immediately closed the Return Request?

The product works great. What kept it from being 5 stars is that you're not informed that by using the AA battery pack the radio doesn't push out 5 watts. It will do 2 just fine. This sho iii ld be included in the description.

Battery pack is clunky and significantly larger than the rechargeable unit that comes with the Garmin. That said, on the first use, the batteries lasted much longer than I thought that they would. Unfortunately if you use this battery pack as a backup to the rechargeable you have to lug along a bulky and possibly unnecessary item into the woods, etc.
