View More Than 1 Child at a Time
A simple, but highly secure, twist-to-clamp bracket lets you mount the camera to a front- or backseat headrest, depending on which way your child’s car seat is facing.
You don’t need tools. You don’t need wiring. Fact is, you don’t need more than a few minutes to get your babyCam system up and running.
babyCam also features night vision to give you a clear view in low-light conditions without turning on interior lights or disturbing your baby (who may have finally nodded off to sleep).
Reminder to Check For Baby
With babyCam, you can drive with confidence. And once you’ve navigated to your destination, a helpful on-screen alert will remind you to check the rear seats for any passengers you’ll want to take with you before exiting the vehicle.
Wirelessly Works With Navigator
For your convenience, babyCam was designed to work with a broad range of Garmin navigation devices. You can easily pair babyCam with any compatible Garmin car, truck or RV navigation device you may already own.
What’s more, if your paired Garmin device has voice-activated navigation, you can even use a spoken command to switch your navigation display, hands-free, to the babyCam view.
Garmin babyCam Bundle gives you GPS route guidance plus on-demand monitoring of your child -with clear video day or night -right on your Garmin Drive 50 navigator display. babyCam video monitor mounts easily to headrests3 to monitor both front-facing and rear-facing car seats. It also provides a helpful reminder to check for little ones before exiting the vehicle. Garmin Drive 50 includes lifetime maps2 of the U.S. states along with spoken Garmin Real Directions feature and driver alerts for such things as dangerous curves and upcoming speed changes. With babyCam, you have a watchful helper, every trip, every time. Notice: Some jurisdictions regulate or prohibit use of this device. The traffic feature stops working when using the power cord that comes With the camera. The power cord that comes with the camera needs to be used with the camera since it has the wireless transceiver in it.
I called Garmin before purchasing this and was given wrong information. This may or may not be the case with specific gps models
You do have to supply your own AA batteries though, and the camera will automatically turn off after 15 seconds of viewing. But there's an icon on the map screen that will change to camera view instantaneously, so that works OK for my needs.
