I use these in combination with a Garmin Edge 500. As some others have mentioned, the sensors sync up but don't show sensor IDs. The first time I set them up they went fine on my test ride. Then I took my bike to the bike path and they weren't working. After a bit of fiddling and clearing the sensors from my Edge and re-syncing them, they were fine. I haven't had that happen since and its been a few months with 2-3 rides a week.
I do agree that they do take a second or so longer to adjust to changes than my Cateye sensors. If I stop pedaling it takes a second or two to reflect a zero cadence, and when I start spinning up, again, there's a delay. It doesn't matter all that much to me, it's not critical to know the speed/cadence at any given split second.
The speed sensor can be a bit difficult to install. It's almost as if you need to do it one handed. Or maybe my hands are just too big as I can only fit one hand in between the spokes at a time. I guess it depends on your spoke setup as well. I just wouldn't want to swap them between bikes all that often which seems to be one of Garmin's advertising points.
Overall, I just like not having to deal with sensor/magnet alignment and having something come out of alignment during a ride. Such a scenario has happened a few times with the Cateye sensors which required me to stop and make adjustments. I don't foresee that happening with these as they are one piece sensors that rely on movement of the accelerometer rather than a magnet passing the sensor.
Strava is in the works to develop their app to work with Ant+ devices but that are dragging their feet. There may be other apps that work with this set up but as of now I'm very happy with Wahoo app supporting these Ant+ speed and cadence sensors.
I have a very small issue and its not with this product, my bike rear hub is thicker on one side than the other. It puts the speed sensor on a slight angle but I don't think is having any effect. I can put the speed sensor on the front hub with is skinny and the same thickness across, but indoor training I need to put it on the back wheel.
Another complaint I have, is that I initially had trouble getting the speed sensor to pair with my computer. After messing around with it for half an hour, I figured out that it came with a completely dead battery. I'm not sure if this is the fault of Garmin or Amazon, but either way that is completely unacceptable.
In summary I would give 5 stars for performance, but I've rated it 4 stars for potential issues with the cadence sensor mount and one of the batteries being dead on arrival.
