So. Let's start with the positives this time. It's a nice looking band and comfortable. Ok. The negatives. Titanium is cheap. Really cheap. I thought the DLC coating was the reasoning for the price but something tells me it's not seeing how I found a replica band, on Amazon, for $50. Worth it?... I'm not sure. Maybe I'll review both bands with some tests and update my review. Another issue with this...., and it seems to be a pattern with Garmin. They use tiny screws for their links. So unless you repair glasses for a living, you don't have the necessary tools needed to remove the links so that it fits, which 95/100 sales of this band will require removal of links. I don't have massive wrists so I require removing links. Nope. Not without purchasing extra hardware to do so. So Garmin, come on man.... For $250, down from $300 if you were unlucky, you couldn't include a tool to help with the links? I mean if you're going to be different, at least use common sense to avoid pissing off your clients and forcing them to spend more money on top of an already overpriced item. Come on Garmin!!! 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😥

Really disappointed with this very expensive purchase. The catch does not sit flush with the strap on the left hand side (when looking at the catch with the words Garmin the correct way) There is a 1/2 cm gap between the catch and the strap. This causes it to catch things. Because of the right hand inside design (there is curved solid piece of metal) there are limits to how many links you can put in to the left hand side before this digs in to the skin. I've tried all possible combinations and concluded that it is a design fault. If you have very large wrists this may not be a problem but for 'normal people' I'd avoid this strap.

If you are someone who excises intensely (on a regular basis) beware that sweat and rapid arm movement will causes the prong holes to fall apart. My band has been rendered useless and is now to loose for me to run, climb, or hike with. I hope that this is just an issue with my particular band. Overall, the band is comfortable -- however, if the band does not hold up it is not worth it. I hope that Garmin will be willing to replace it.

I like the band and while it may be priced a little high, I'd rather have this band made by the manufacturer than a cheaper/less expensive after-market band that may or may not fit the watch properly. I trust Garmin to make a band that is durable and will hold my very nice Fenix 6 Sapphire, securely.

I almost didn't buy the band because of a review that mentioned 'not worth the money'. I disagree. I'm glad I bought the band because it is very comfortable, and looks great. It's worth the $100. Band is fairly stiff, out of the box. I'm sure it'll loosen a bit with wear; the band is not flimsy at all, but quite substantial.

The band moves comfortably over my skin, unlike the 'stock' silicone band which is 'grabby'. I don't like how the silicone band grabs onto my skin. This nylon band sits nicely against my wrist.

Changing the bands is super easy and hassle free. Just click and go, basically. Loving Garmin!

Decent product, but not worth the price.

I bought this band with high hopes. Its thick and stiff, and slightly more breathable than the silicone strap it replaced. But its hardly worth $100. Garmin is clearly going after the high end watch crowd and thinks charging a premium for accessories will go unnoticed. While better than the leather strap IMO in terms of durability (Garmin still uses bonded leather which should be criminal for the cost) it has yet to be seen how these straps hold up over time and wear. I'm about two weeks in and already have had to burn off some stray fibers. The loops are sealed which is good and the color is sporty. Why Garmin won't just make a pure rubber strap for the watches is beyond me, as it holds up significantly better than the soft silicone they use. Unlike the silicone, leather, and titanium straps from Garmin I have tried, the straps for my Ball watches feel justified for the cost. These Garmin straps are marked up way too much and I would not recommend their purchase unless a deal can be snagged. I'd say $50 would be the top end of what this strap should cost. If they want to charge Ball or Omega prices, then they should produce accessories with the same quality of those watch brands.

Definitely good, but slightly different than stock 5x bands

The item is listed as Fenix 5x, but these bands are ever so slightly different. They're still quite good, but it is something to consider.
Compared to the original stock 5x bands, I actually thought these may have been knock-offs, but upon some inspection, the molds appeared similar enough that I feel confident they are genuine Garmin
-the bands are a little shorter than stock (end without the clasp). It still has the same number of notches but they have been shifted toward the quick release
-The mold is thinner than stock (as well as formed slightly differently which I found to not matter). This made the band stretcher and it also feels a somewhat different than the stock band. I would prefer the stock band thickness, but it is more ore less minimal.

All else is good and comparable to stock 5x bands, but the color is a little different in real life. Certainly a little duller and washed out as people have reported. I noticed that whenever I photograph the bands though, it does appear the way it does during stock photos, so perhaps this wasn't intentional, but it's still something to note.

I would consider taking off stars for being so damn expensive. I'm not sure that it's worth the money just to change strap color, but you determine value.

In terms of quality, you get what you pay for. A good product that looks like it will wear in, rather than wear out.
However, I believe the colour description and images are misleading. 'Chestnut' conjures an image of a rich brown, or perhaps a slightly weathered tan. However, this strap is more like ORANGE! Perhaps you might describe it as an orangey-tan colour, or an aged burnt orange, but whatever the case, Chestnut it is not.
I intend to keep the strap, even though the colour is not what was expected, its still a nice strap and I expect the colour will tone down through use. So, in summary - a great strap, but be aware of the colour of what you are buying.
If I was rating this strap on the quality of the product, it would be 5 stars. But the colour mismatch will be a deal-breaker for some, so 3 stars it is.

26mm metal strap fits my Fenix 3 perfectly

This is a beautifully made strap, and it fits my Fenix 3 Sapphire perfectly. It is a very expensive strap, and I thought long and hard about whether to buy it. My Fenix came with a metal strap, but apart from removing complete segments it is not minutely adjustable. Also, the Fenix 3 metal strap is no good for serious running as it flops about too much and on half-marathons it chafes my wrist badly. It also needs two screwdrivers to swap back and forth between the rubber strap for running and the metal strap for every day use which is a real pain.

My solution is this Fenix 5 26mm strap, which is quick-release and with the purchase of a new Fenix 5 26mm rubber strap I can swap to my heart's content. The new metal strap is nice and smart, it's got minute adjustment too so it's easy to get it exactly right, even on small wrists, and the release mechanism is a bit easier than the old Fenix 3 strap.

The only negative is that getting the pins out, even with a special tool, is really difficult as there's a floating inner sleeve that the pin is gripped by. I ended up using a thin panel pin to push it out properly. Hopefully it's a one-time job, but it is worth getting it right and not damaging the strap.

In conclusion, it's better than the Fenix 3 strap, and I can quickly swap it with the rubber strap. If you have a Fenix 3 and don't want to upgrade to the 5, this strap is a great purchase.

Pros:
1) Features vibrant deeper orange color and looks more interesting than "solar flare" one or regular black
2) Nice textured elements on the outer an inner side of the bracelet that feel pleasant on the wrist
3) Black clasp fits black oxidized color of the titanium watch body of Epix 2
4) Gives you sporty energetic look and feel
5) Does not irritate hand during workouts when sweating
6) QuickFit technology works effectively via pulling locking mechanism with a fingernail to unlock the mechanism that attaches strap to the watch
7) Pay attention to figures next to strap model - 22 fits Epix 2 and Fenix 7/7x models, 20 fits Venu sq etc
8) Lightweight on the hand making you forget that you wear a fitness tracker
9) Feels very comfortable when sleeping with fitness tracker
10) Does not seem to wear out quickly

Cons:
1) grotesque price (around 50$) for a silicone bracelet; some fitness trackers from lower segment cost less than this bracelet. I do acknowledge that this is an original product with proper original design, vibrant color and proprietary locking mechanism...but it is also a piece of silicone.
2) Not everywhere orange bracelet will fit - at work, in restaurant or business meeting you may prefer switching to discrete black one.

Summary: I bought it and I am absolutely happy with it. If you tear the black one from the box, you are stuck waiting for replacement for some time. Watch release cycle is probably 2 years or more. Having 2 straps is a winning option. "Amp yellow" color also looks cool.

excellent quality bracelet. I bought a £65 Titanium bracelet from another supplier ( from Germany) first. I couldn't live with it - it was very poor quality. I was a bit sceptical about spending another £165 on a second bracelet, but having read the positive reviews, I decided to go for it. Thankfully, it lived up to expectations. I don't know why one reviewer had problems with the screws? It can be a little trickly to pull the screw bars out, once unscrewed, but a gentle tug with a set of plyers, does the trick just fine.
BTW - I have plenty of watches and straps etc ( hobby ), so I am 'picky' with the quality of products, so for me to write up a positive review, it has to be GOOD quality
