    From the manufacturer

    Garmin VIRB 360

    360-degree Camera.

Rugged, Waterproof 360-degree Camera with 5.7K/30fps Resolution and 4K Spherical

VIRB 360 is the first of its kind, capturing a complete sphere of high resolution video and audio – even photos. It eliminates the lengthy editing process with unrivaled 1-click video stabilization up to 4K resolution at 30 fps and allows you to instantly livestream4 any adventure.

Defining a New Standard for Full-sphere 360 Video and Audio Capture

If it’s worth remembering, it’s worth a VIRB 360. This rugged, waterproof camera is true to its name, recording the full 360 degrees — horizontally and vertically. And you can forget about timely post-production work, because VIRB 360 will auto-stitch¹ your 4K footage in camera. If you’re looking for higher resolution, you can record video in unstitched 5.7K resolution at 30fps.

You can choose between different recording modes such as time lapse, manual and more. Even capture 360-degree photos, burst shots, time lapse and Travelapse photo capture up to 15 megapixels — stitched in camera. Combined with the 4 built-in microphones for 360-degree audio, you and your viewers will be totally immersed in the 360 experience.

    • Resolution up to 5.7K/30fps unstitched and 4K/30fps with in-camera stitching¹
    • 4 built-in microphones capture 360-degree audio
    • 4K spherical stabilization² ensures a smooth video regardless of camera movement
    • Built-in sensors provide G-Metrix data overlays in 360-degree augmented reality³
    • Easy-to-use, free VIRB Mobile app and VIRB Edit desktop software let you edit, stabilize, share and add data overlays to videos
    • Constantly record for more than 1 hour on 1 charge — without overheating

Captures Spherical Stabilized 4K Video with 1 Click

Take a shaky, hard-to-follow video, and turn it into a smooth and stable masterpiece in 1 click. Regardless of camera movement, the 3 modes of 4K spherical stabilization² ensure a smooth video. Stabilize mode smooths quick movements and vibrations without overriding camera orientation. Use lock mode to secure the orientation of the camera in a specified direction. In follow mode, the orientation follows the GPS trajectory.

Edit Videos and Livestream on the Go

With the free, easy-to-use VIRB Mobile app and VIRB Edit desktop software, you can edit, stabilize, share and add data overlays to videos. Use the VIRB Mobile app to connect the camera to your Apple or Android device. Connect your NFC-enabled Android smartphone to the camera with just 1 tap of your phone on the camera. Then, use your smartphone as a remote control for the camera, see live 360-degree video of what you are recording, use a virtual reality (VR) device to instantly view your 360 videos in VR, or livestream to YouTube and Facebook.

    Make a Splash

This rugged camera is built to endure everything from a whitewater adventure to a child’s birthday party. VIRB 360 is waterproof to 10 meters, small and lightweight enough for any adventure, and it features strengthened glass lenses you can easily replace without tools. The camera works with our durable mounts as well as other standard mounts and accessories, and it can shoot more than 1 hour on a single battery charge. The sunlight-readable display shows battery, storage, mode and connectivity status. VIRB 360 can do it all.

    Control It with Your Voice

“OK Garmin, start recording.” It’s that easy. When you are about to speed down a rugged hillside, chances are you don’t want to reach up and press start. Now you can just use a voice command6, and the camera will start and stop recording and take photos. Or ask VIRB 360 to “remember that” to tag specific moments in your adventure and quickly find them again later. Even change modes to record in a different style, and turn off the camera when you’re not recording — saving you time and energy.

    Data Overlays with G-Metrix

Retell your story in greater detail than ever before. Built-in sensors, such as GPS and GLONASS, barometer, accelerometer and more, provide countless customizable G-Metrix data overlay options in 360-degree augmented reality².

    1 On-device stitching only up to 4K/30fps.

2 Stabilization is applied using VIRB Mobile app or VIRB Edit desktop software and is only available for videos stitched in camera.

3 G-Metrix augmented reality overlays are added using mobile or desktop app before sharing.

4 Livestreaming only available on compatible Apple devices.

    Great Action cam!!!
I was hesitant about the virb at first but i love the camera all in all. After numerous trips on jet skis and jeeps this has taken quite a beating and keeps going. There are some light scratches that are noticeable but that's after many spills off of the jeep and into rocks and just this last weekend the Virb was actually ran over. I didn't even realize this until after i was going over footage from the trip!!Initially i thought the virb was going to be fragile considering it has no real housing but its a beast! I am not afraid to have it fall off vehicles or into the water. I DO however tether it to my jetski so i don't loose it in the event it does come off and i do keep it tethered to the jeep when its not in a location i can quickly tell if it takes a spill though. The battery is so so. I keep 3 batteries on me and this lasted for about an hour and a half of recording, not all at once mind you but just using the cameras quick record switch only. i am using Samsung 128Gb micro SD cards in mine too. Yes its expensive but the videos are a real trip and i wanted something to last and i think i found the perfect camera for me.My biggest gripes are the software!!! Its horrible and with whatever the latest update is when i review footage the audio is absolute garbage when playing through the Virb edit software but in windows media or VLC its fine.

This camera is great for 360 degree shots, and using it as a helmet camera (it comes with a tripod mount for doing this, and it also comes with a "GoPro" type mount) it shows everything around you clearly for at least 30 feet! You almost can't see the stitching line, either, also, it stitches in camera! ( for those who don't understand what "stitching" is, it's when the camera takes the picture/video from the 2 lenses the camera has, and 'stitches' or puts them together-think of getting stitches when you get a cut) This camera can also record and charge at the same time, and there is a separate mount for this, with a wire that has a USB plug on the other end, to which I've used many power banks to provide an 'added' battery that will give more time to record. I regularly use a 128GB Class 10 Samsung Evo memory card, and I have no trouble at all. I believe the time is around 90 minutes on a full charge, but with my power bank, I was able to record at least 3 hours (probably more if my bike ride hadn't ended) and got everything no problem. After using this camera for 4 years, It quit working, and I thought it was done, until in my last resort to see if it was working, (since it cost $800.00 new, and I didn't want to quit using it yet) I removed the battery, and plugged it into charge, (yes, without the battery, I don't know why I did this) and it turned on! That's when I realized (and read afterward, as well as seeing videos on YouTube) That the "Garmin Virb 360" had a rather crappy battery from the factory, (even though I really like the camera) and I ordered a new battery, and that solved the problem! That, along with the powered tripod mount they sell (That I wish other cameras had) and the silicone cover, I think this camera is wonderful! In fact, the only bad thing I can say, is that I wish the price was much more reasonable!!! ($800.00 new? Really?)

I purchased this camera for bicycle ride and touring. It worked exactly the way I wanted. I don't have to worry about recording while riding. Then edit it with Garmin Virb Edit with G matrix and hyperframe. I can choose which scene to show. Picture quality is amazingly good. I dropped it a few times but didn't even get scratch. I took it to cross Korea bicycle tour 1200 km during winter time Feb and March. It was very cold. A few times lens got some fog or dew at the center, but it was probably I didn't handle it right. Otherwise it did great. I carried 4 extra batteries so I didn't have problem with battery. It lasted about an hour if I continuously recorded. I changed battery every about an hour anyway just in case. Stabilization is by software during Garmin Virb Edit. If you don't use it right, you may not get right. Read user's manual and try a few times, you will get it. Also editing picture is not high quality for the speed of edit, but If you export it as a final video clip. It looks great. I have low quality computer. So I only edit video on Garmin Virb Edit and the other stuff such as text, sounds, etc, I do it in Windows Movie Maker that comes with windows. It works very well together for video novice like me. I purchased helmet mount from Amazon.com. it has 3 different length plastic sticks. Gmatrix come from my Garmin bicycle speed and cadence sensor. They all worked very well together. I also used Garmin remote controller at times, but mostly I just simply used camera switch to turn it on and off. It sounds beep, so I knew exactly if it was working or not on the helmet. If you use remote controller, you have to leave the camera on sleep mode, then battery dies faster. I also purchased silicon camera cover. It was helpful to pack everything up in my bicycle touring bag.

Upon opening the box I found dust all over the lens, looking closer I noticed finger marks. Then looking even further the box has clearly a thumb mark where the package has been forced open. The battery pack has been torn open and then made to look like it was back together - Really disappointed.

As expected, the Garmin build quality and design is excellent. Very rugged build, easy replacement of the vulnerable front and rear lenses, well-thoughtout userinterface and great integration with iPhone and Android (albeit without live streamming for the Android).

However, pretty unimpressed that Amazon or Garmin don't include at least a basic memory card for it. Had to trawl the web researching, purchasing and waiting for a suitable128Gb (UHS-I) MicroSD card instead of getting on and using the camera.

I expected the card to be included when paying over $1,000 for an action cam, especially since Garmin include a good quality card for other products like their latest dashcam (see BestBuy). Come on Garmin or Amazon, this is a tiviallow cost addition for you that would improve customer satisfaction and loyalty greatly. Even a 32Gb or 64Gb card would be better than nothing!
