The pot is more sturdy than I has expected. Made my first 12.5 gallon batch and used the pot for both the boil and the fermentation. I had to make a wood top to keep the flys out of the batch and the top fit tight enough that the gas bubbled out of the air lock rather than escaping around the plywood! Im soon to order the 20 gal pot for mashing! I didnt check the accuracy box because I never checked that. Also, when going from a 5-6 gal batch, a 12 gal batch is much heavier. My legs looked like lobster after moving the boil off the flame!!

Big piece of crap

I ordered end of April, received early May. Had an unexpected series of problems so didn't get to use the pot until last week. It's a 10gal pot put 7.5gal into pot cranked up the heat. Just as it started to boil I'm standing in a puddle, thought I spilled. Mopped. Then more puddle. I checked, the thermometer seal and the valve seal leaking. I had to have a specific temperature set after boiling started. the action in the pot didn't seem right for the temperature. Checked and it was off. Then when I went to open the valve to drain, I couldn't, they put the valve in backwards. In the 3rd picture notice the text on the handle (I didn't before I filled it) handle rotates CCW so the handle slaps into the pot and doesn't open. Other pictures show the leaks. That caused a massive mess in draining 7.5gal. Debris and liquid all over the exterior. When able to clean, stains left. Took forever to deal with the leaks, mess, and cleaning.
