I replaced a packaged burner that came with my deep fryer from about 2 years ago. The burner that came with that unit, had an auto-off switch, that always turned off.

This burner does not have that issue. The unit started up immediately and put out tons of heat. The temperature control is a little difficult to predict but after playing around with it for several minutes. I got it to where I wanted to be, and honestly, when deep frying a turkey you shouldn't leave it unattended for long periods of time.

Both Turkeys came out great, and I had a continues burn without any issues. Great purchase

This propane burner is a beast! I bought it to heat up my large canning pots . What took 40 minutes inside 10 minutes outside. The only downside is the I cannot lower the temp very well. It comes with a regulator when lowered where I want it the flame goes out. So if you are buying this for simmering look for something else . I bought this for canning and it does a great job heating water up quickly. Doing it outside keeps the heat in the kitchen to a minimum. So I'm happy with the product . Its use is just limited.

This has been an excellent product. In Australia it needs an adaptor (which is easy to buy on line and doesn't have any negative effects on the functionality of it).

When considering one of these, take the time to consider the heat output of the stove verses the stove you are already using.

This may produce too much heat. I sometimes findit hard to turn it down enough. But, for big volumes of liquid etc. It is brilliant.
