I have had the Gasparill cookbook since 1968. The pages are well worn and my book is taped togather. My husband loves the lemon pie receipe on page 256. I have made it with other fruit also and it is still good.

This cookbook is simply wonderful! I love the wide variety of recipe's and how easy they are to prepare. On a fun note, it is always neat that I have the same cookbook that Jackie Kennedy was photographed carrying!

I was given this cookbook when I had a baby by a friend who also brought me a meal which had the "Country Captain" chicken recipe from page 137. She was kind enough to note her favorite recipes in the cookbook. After I tried them, I am now venturing out to other interesting recipes in the book. I love it!

I left this book on my kitchen table after I received it and planned to read it when I got home from work the next day. I was surprised when I got a call at work from my husband asking where the bay leaves were. He made the Spanish Beans recipe and served it with rice and a steak. Yumm. Some of the recipes are dated but there are tons of possibilities in here. We've made a couple of other recipes since I recieved it and have been pleased with how clear the instructions were and how well the recipes turned out. It even has recipes from the famous Las Novadades Restaurant (closed in the 70s) and the Columbia Restaurant. A definate "keeper".

I had a copy of this cookbook in the early 60s. I held it together with rubber bands for a long time. Finally, I had to buy a new copy. There aren't too many cookbooks I wear out.

This one contains some really easy and great tasting recipes. It also has some that are a bit more complex. One of my favorites is "Chicken and Yellow Rice" and it's really easy.

I grew up in a house where this was the go to cookbook, I didn't even know you could still get it! I was thrilled to find it , yes the recipes are a bit dated but with a little fine tuning you can update them and expand your cooking choices.
