I like the idea of an interface that is the same across platforms, which Windows Phone 7 and Windows 7 for desktops/laptops and first generation tablets and ultrabooks most definitely were not, but c'mon now Windows 8 chose the most ugly UI to go on all three/four/five devices.
I mean, take the Charms bar. If you love it, you love it and more power to you. But I remember the days of Vista where the taskbar was so far from Apple's dock that you had all sorts of third party dock accessories that popped up much like the Charms bar now does. Plus Windows Vista's old-school taskbar had notifications every bit as annoying as the (burnt) "toasts" and (Lucky) Charms Microsoft sends your way with 8.
Of course, if Windows 8 is that awesome, then more power to you. I read the reviews and instead of redeeming my $14.95 Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Option, I dug deeper, compared the reviews to RTM Vista, and then I saw that for whatever redeeming qualities Windows 8 may have, it probably is a new Vistah.
That said, if you can stomach Windows 8, this PC has everything my predecessor model does plus Bluetooth, so it should be an ideal next-generation PC.
It's recommended, but only for those who can stomach Windows 8. As is its successor the UB2B.
Build-in Wifi Adaptor
1 TB HD
Nice optical drive
None, for the money I got exactly what I wanted.
Second The computer is perfect!!!, I was really hesitant on buying refurbished but let me tell you as soon as I pulled it out of the box my fears were gone the computer is pretty much brand new!!! The keyboard, mouse, PC is all in perfect condition.
Third the setup was fast and only took minutes to complete before I was on the internet surfing like normal. The horror stories about Windows 8 I'm not seeing it, if your a long time Windows user then you should have no issues at all with Windows 8. This computer is literally plug and play take it out the box plug it up and use it as normal no having to read through manuals and instructions just to get it started.
Overall I'm so glad I made this purchase, It looks great, runs great, quiet, and I would highly recommend buying this computer especially if you are using a Dinosaur in the computer world like the one I was using lol. on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it an 11
