About this item
- First released in 1993. A classic text-n-pictures adventure, similar in style to many Infocom games with a text parser, but with graphical snapshots, music and the ability to use a mouse instead of typing.
- Based on the hit classic novels by Frederick Pohl.
- Experience the chilling reality of 22nd-century Earth. Cross the event horizon of a black hole and explore the Heechee planets at the core - and meet the Heechee face-to-face, holding conversations with them with Legend's "Intelligent Dialogue System".
- Operate alien technoogy. Pilot a starship!
- DOS/95/98 native, but will play smoothly in XP without sound.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

As DOS adventure games goes, this has to be one of the best. Excellent story, interesting stills and plenty of variability. This game is for those who enjoy a more cerebral computer game experience. It does not distract you with animation "eye candy." This old text adventure is a keeper.
