"This collection of his works, some published here for the first time, pays tribute to the vast length and breadth of scholarship of Cornwall's leading historian. It is also an anthology in which every one of its two dozen or more pieces burns with the author's love for his native county and emphasises the fact that if ever anyone deserves Rowse's mantle as our greatest living Cornishman, then it has to be Professor Thomas." Frank Ruhrmund, The Cornishman. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.
