First thing: "auto-sensing" means that the Vcc on the cable is an INPUT -- you supply the power. This is unlike the fixed-voltage cables which will supply Vcc. So for example, you can't power an Arduino with this thing -- though it will work if the Arduino is powered by other means.
Second: DTR is not brought out, so for Arduino usage you'll have to manually reset the Arduino to program it.
These aren't "flaws" per se -- the cable does what it's supposed to -- but more like caveats to keep in mind.
On a positive note, it's a FTDI chip so you can use their excellent programming app to invert the Tx/Rx pins if you need to (as I did) as well as a bunch of other cool hacky stuff.
