I received the Gecko Toes yesterday and hooked it up to my workshop hydrant today. I hooked it up directly to my water hydrant, so I wouldn't have to install yet another post or mounting bracket....and it works wonderfully!!
I just wanted to share some photos and feedback for those considering the product. I'm already putting the product to use around my shop and surrounding landscape area.
As you'll notice in the photos, I used three regular automotive hose clamps to attach it to the hydrant post and they work great. I installed the hose clamps at the same three areas where the predrilled holes were. I mounted the device at a 90 degree angle to the spout to enable easy fastening of the loops of hose and not interfere with the hookup of the hose to the spout outlet.
Just for those folks wondering on the size and length of hose.....the hose I have rolled up is 100 feet of 3/4 inch hose I purchased from the local blue big box hardware store, and as you'll notice in the photos, I still even have an extra loop of storage left at the top of the gecko toes.
I don't find many things nowadays that actually are worthy of a review, but I feel I had to take some pictures and let fellow landscape enthusiasts know there's a better mousetrap out there. My best to the manufacturer and Thank You for designing a great product that seems quite durable as well.
