This was such a sweet story. Sweet with a side of goofy grinning. I loved, loved, loved Matty and Stone. Matty was a bit nerdy, and Stone had an edge to him. They were opposites, and probably shouldn’t fit together, yet they did. What started out as fake, soon became the real thing. Both men were internally fighting demons from their past. After a tragic event, their demons were front and center. They just had to find the courage to face them, so they can build their future.
This was a well written story with lovable characters. R. Cayden has a way of drawing you in with his writing and character development. It’s easy to lose yourself in the story and root for the main characters. He is also super talented with the nerdy characters. I hope this isn’t the last one. It’s one of my favorite character types. Paired with the tattooed ‘bad’ boy? Yes, please, and thank you.
***I voluntarily accepted an advanced readers copy from Gay Romance Reviews. My review reflects my own thoughts and opinions***
Stone is a beautiful character with such depth and heart. You can feel his drive to become more than the broken man he was and create a new life he can be proud of. His past showed his heart and how he had a wonderful heart. I love his mentor and her steadying presence. Matty has an amazing circle of friends that really anyone would love to have in their lives. He learns to look forward and into his heart and finds strength and love he didn't know he was capable of experiencing.
Highly recommend this delightful read!
I was gifted this book from Gay Romance Reviews and i freely give my honest opinion and review
I appreciated that Stone didn't agonize over his sexuality, but just accepted his attraction to Matty without angst. I loved Matty's friends and Stone's one kind co-worker and mentor. The villain here was awful, and Stone's boss was pretty harsh. Mostly, though, this book was full of support and confidence building for both Stone and Matty. They were really sweet together, and they had some great sexy scenes. I enjoyed this romance, and I was left smiling at the satisfying ending.
I received an ARC from GRR and voluntarily read it for an honest review.

My first book by this author, but definitely not my last.
