The central axis screw can be quickly disassembled and converted into a monopod or cane to provide another convenient shooting method
  • Precise & Flexible: The bubble level can help you quickly find the balance point of the rack. The specially designed ball head is equipped with a 360-degree panoramic view and a metal rotating ball to ensure the accuracy of photography, so that you can get the perfect shooting and order every time. Breathtaking panorama

5.0 out of 5 stars Professional tripod packed full of features!
By GPUabuse on November 5, 2018
I recently purchased a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and was in the market for a tripod or monopod when I came across the Geekoto X25.

One of my favorite things about this tripod is the customization:
- Cost-effective
Seriously, the price of this tripod for all the features it has is insane!
- Durable aluminum alloy frame
Feels incredibly sturdy, I'm not in fear of it falling over with my expensive camera and equipment.
- Extremely compact, only 24" when folded up and fits perfectly in the included carrying case.
This is pretty important for those who like to travel.
- Detachable leg transforms into monopod, selfie stick, and walking stick.
It's super easy to adjust on the fly with the tool-free design.
- adjustable height, up to 75"
How much higher would you want to get?
- Works vertically and horizontally
I love using this tripod for smooth tilt and pan shots!

Overall, I really recommend that you give this tripod/monopod a try! It allows you to capture amazing shots confidently and is great for travel. If you have any questions just let me know!

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing but TROUBLE with their product and lack of service
By dikjenkins on February 3, 2019
I bought this $150 tripod through Amazon from Geekoto Technology Co. LTD of Hong Kong 7 months ago. I have since been communicating via email with persons here in America that seem to have NO concept of how business is conducted here in America. Nor do they comprehend the English language.

Let me list their drawbacks:
1. They shipped component parts such as the quick disconnect plate that attaches to your camera and quick connects to the tripod with the rubber friction pads fallen off.
2. They shipped component parts that lacked attachment bolts that they say were no longer needed. They offered to send the bolt but never did.
3. One of their components is a tapered plastic bushing that resides in the lower tripod assembly, that assembly that contains the tripod legs and base plate through with the vertical tripod shaft passes. This tripod is intended to be configured in any number of positions to suit the task. The vertical shaft is routinely raised and lower by loosening a locking nut that threads onto the tripod base. The bored hole on the tripod base has a very fragile plastic bushing inserted in the hole ,it locks the vertical shaft in place at the desired height. After using the tripod but a few times the plastic tapered bushing split locking the vertical shaft in place. It could not be raised or lowered from that time on. I wrote to Geekoto numerous times explaining the problem. Today, weeks after my message to them and three followup complaints a representative of theirs offered to send me a USED plastic taped bushing. A seven month old purchase and the replacement part is offered USED?
4. You will find NO comprehensive USER'S MANUAL anywhere on the web.
5. Yes you will find your fair share of local wanna-be YouTube stars who will show you how to unpack the tripod and on a cursory look expound on the lightness and slick colors that make up the tripod.
6. You will NOT find an exploded view of the tripod anywhere so that you can determine where things belong on the many ways that it can be configured. After all, this unit can be configured in any number of ways by taking it apart and reconfiguring it. As a mechanical engineer intuition can get me through most of it. But in my opinion the plastic tapered bushing is its weakest point and will fail early on. It can't be helped because of all the movement put on the vertical tripod shaft.
7. Lastly you will not find a source of spare parts available to order broken fragile plastic tapered bushings and the like.

Be prepared to correspond with a Chinese "tech supporter" (I'm guessing a foreign exchange student) in broken English who has no concept what American good business practices are....if he answers your messages.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Star. Great versatile tripod.
By Salomon Pena on February 14, 2019
Before getting this tripod I used a Mefoto Roadtrip Tripod for 5 years. Which I really enjoy, and trust using. These are my thoughts on the tripod after using it for a 2-3 weeks now. I mostly do landscape and cityscape photography professionally.
This is a very versatile tripod, with a good price.
Pros:
Gets very tall.
Gets very low with included short column.
The column pivots which can be very useful for macro and product photography.
Ballhead is good. No shifting when locking it down.
The finish is good.
The leg locks/latches are spring loaded which nicer than than push pull ones.
It is sturdy tripod
The legs lock without issue.
For the size of tripod it is not heavy.
comes with carry bag and accessories.
Cons but not deal breakers:
The center column is not locked in place. When you tighten down the center column lock you can still turn the column. It takes a bit of force, so it's not like the wind will turn the center column when tightened down. Just something to be aware of.
The column nut can get a little sticky sometimes. I am hoping that will go away in the time.
It would be awesome if the center column nut was more like the one on the roadtrip tripod.
I wish there was a softer, gripping material on the ballhead lock.
I plan on leaving the short column on most of the time so I will be putting a drop of breakable lock tight on the bolt that holds the ballhead to the center column.
When the short column is placed on the tripod. The locking plate gets pinched between the legs, not allowing the legs to fully close, so I replaced the locking plate with a smaller one.
Other than those minor issues, the tripod is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most amazing tripod I've used!
By Traderhut Games on March 5, 2019
I got this because my other ones were not up to the task. I needed to record video from a catwalk at a theater... This was awesome! I extended one leg out straight on top of the "wall" I was looking over, with little space behind the wall to setup the tripod, I set the other legs out - to different lengths, as there was a spot light base one one side and nothing on the other. It needed to be super stable and very close to the wall. This tripod was both. I also used it with gimbal and it held that nicely as well.

I do wish that the up/down was as smooth as the pan side to side.. but otherwise it is perfect!

I can also use this with a light box that I have that needs a tripod close to the floor..
