I love it! I came on a flat board that kept it protected. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. The directions were sooo simple and easy. I very easily applied it and it easily came back off since I didn't get it centered the first time. Getting all the bubbles out was awesome too. I don't really have a complaint as it covers the front and the back perfectly. The only thing I would say is that although it covers the kindle great I do wish it extended a little further for the back. Where it curves to meet the front doesn't get fully covered, but it is still covered enough. This product is durable and great.
If you plan on keeping your Kindle2 or KindleDX constantly in a form-fitting cover, then you may not need these, although they are still pretty cool. But if you ever expect to remove the Kindle from its protective cover, then these GeleSkins are the way to go with the style & protection you want for the back of your Kindle.
The back went on without a hitch but the front was a different story. The front has a large cutout for the screen and another for the keyboard. When you peel it off the backing there's nothing to hold the shape. It was like nailing Jello to a tree. The best I could do was a BIG wrinkle at the upper left corner. I tried again the next day and managed to get it to fit better but it still has a small wrinkle on the top right side.
Gelaskins needs to come up with a way to put a non-adhesive "plug" into the holes for the screen and keyboard to give it more body. After you get it positioned the way you like you can remove the plugs.
I like the way it decorates my Kindle; it's a kind of a bookshelf, n'est-ce pas?
It was very easy to put on. The releaseable 3M material that it's made with makes it easy to reposition and will not leave a film.
The graphics are lush and gorgeous!
