Chances are that you know someone who suffers from a fear of spiders. You'll love scaring them during the spooky Halloween season by hanging up this eerie dropping spider decoration. This humongous furry spider has red eyes that light up and green sttripes on each one of its legs. Hang it up at the top of a doorway or stairway and get ready for your house guests to scream!

However, after purchasing this and seeing how it is designed, I regret wasting my time and money with it. The spider hangs by a cord that unwinds from within the rear of the spider's body, forcing the spider to hang facing downward (head first). This would not be a problem if the motion sensor were mounted in the spider's head or eyes so that motion beneath the spider is detected. However, the sensor is placed in the rear of the body near the cord that suspends the spider above the ground. If you are hanging this spider at or near ceiling height and expect it to drop down when it detects people walking either directly below or walking toward it, you will be disappointed. It doesn't work. The only way I can see this spider being used effectively is if you want to hang it on your front door at eye level as a door decoration.
I've requested a refund and am shipping it back to the seller. Unfortunately, return shipping is at my expense.
The bottom line: don't buy this for its motion-activated capability.
