Also let me say the black light is not a black light. It's a purple light but the effect on white is still pretty good. They are very spread out though and the light is not focused or concentrated. It does not make glow in the dark items or florescent items glow. It does give white items a spooky purple glow. It was great on our spider web we made of white rope which was about 30x30feet and hanging between two trees. I am adding a picture of the black light on the web which took 2 lights to get the effect.
The red fire and ice is also very limited and if you have a big house you will need 4 or 5 of them to get any good effect. I am adding a picture of the red light on our wall which took 2 lights to get the effect.
The Ghost and Spider lights are fun but again we had one burn out after only one season so I don't have a lot of faith in the product. They also only cover a small area.
They also do not fit tight in the mount so if the cord is heavy or pushed against anything they will not stay in place. The head will swivel and you will need to stake the cord down in some fashion to hold the light where you want it. They all have the same basic mount system no matter which light type you use.
I think Gemmy is pretty much the only product going right now for out door seasonal lighting so I am very bothered that the quality isn't there. I suppose that is how you support your company though by making a product that breaks every year so people constantly have to buy new ones. I guess next year my house will just have to be in the dark.
