I have been drinking General Foods Int'l Coffee Mix powders for 30yrs. I drank Swiss Mocha for approx. 20 yrs. After traveling to Vienna and enjoying their coffee, I switched to Viennese Chocolate Cafe. I fell in love with the chocolate flavor which is perfectly blended with the coffee flavor in Viennese Chocolate Cafe. I cannot find this blend in anything else, and I look forward to enjoying my Viennese Choc. Cafe every single morning. I go through a can a week! It will be a very disappointing time if this flavor ever goes away.

This product was one of the better General Foods International Coffee flavors. However, Maxwell House has discontinued this product, stating "If products don't seem to be popular with our consumers, and demand starts to drop, a decision is made to discontinue the item."

This is the only coffee I have drank for 18 years since it came out. I was introduced to it by another satisfied customer. I would buy it 6-8 cans at a time every month or 6 weeks. It got harder to find stores carrying it. I know others were buying it too because more of it would disappear off the shelfs compared to other brands. Anyway, after Target, the only store that still carried it faithfully, quit carrying it...I researched and found Maxwell House bought GI and chose to discontinue this brand saying it wasn't popular enough. I think they just chose to carry suisse mocha as their chocolate offering and it isn't even close. Viennese Chocolate Cafe is the right half and half blend of chocolate and coffee. Let's band together and do a write in campaign to ask them to bring back this coffee. As it is, I will boycott Maxwell Brand coffees completely.

This is a great substitute for straight coffee or coco or other blends. This is a rich blend of chocolate. I thanked Amazon because it has gotten to be impossible to find it anywhere in South Florida, and Amazon of course has it! Viennese is cheaper than Starbucks and is a better tasting mocha. Using Amazon's "Subscribe and Save" I always have it on hand.

(Updated review)
The product is fantastic but nearly impossible to get in south Florida. General Foods either has a difficult time keeping up with demand (which I doubt) or has cut back on production due to low demand for shelf space at retailers (most likely). Amazon has been the only store to still offer the product and that still is infrequent. I has a standing order with amazon and once in a while I'll get a delivery. Thank you amazon!

This WAS a great product. My wife's favorite. Now Kraft Foods has ceased production. We were buying it by the case through Amazon.com. The only chance to get Kraft to resume production is to write them:

Kraft Foods Inc.
Chairman and Chief Exec. Officer
Three Lakes Drive
Northfield, IL 60093-2000

If history is to be considered, consider this "Viennese Chocolate Cafe had been introduced in 1992 and was relaunched in 1998 after the company's research indicated that chocolate ranked high among consumers' favorite flavors of coffee, second only to vanilla."

Don't underestimate the power of the pen.

Harris Teeter, the local chain store that carried this particular flavor closed. No one else had it. My husband had grown attached to it and was uphappy for weeks. It is great to have the grumbling stopped as he now has his wake cup of Viennese Chocolate with his newspaper.

This coffee has been a favorite of mine for years. It is soothing and a great afternoon pick me up. The flavor is rich without being bitter. Everyone that I have gotten to try it, gets hooked.

We really enjoy the General Foods International Viennese Chocolate Cafe and fervently hope that you will start selling it again. Also, the Amazon Auto-ship is great.
