About the Author
Katrina Rasbold has watched "General Hospital" since the show debuted on April 1963 and has been a part of the GH Fan Club Weekend since 2001. That year, she debuted the web guide, "The GH Fan Club Weekend for Dummies," which quickly became an underground hit with the online GH community. Those few web pages eventually evolved into the full book, An Insider's Guide to the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend. In 2013, Katrina launched the General Hospital Fan Club Weekend Yearbook series.
Katrina worked as an online journalist covering ABC daytime drama from 1998 through 2014. She started at "Soap Opera Central" and then launched her own website, "Eye on Soaps." The site ran until 2014, eventually becoming "All My Writers" in honor of "All My Children" after it was canceled. Eye on Soaps was the first website ever to focus specifically on soap opera commentary.
In her non-soap life, Katrina is married and has six children, the youngest of which are older teenagers. Her daughter, Delena, attends the Fan Club Weekend with her and has for many years. Katrina is the owner of the Botánica de La Reina in Roseville, California. She is a professional life coach with a PhD in Religion, minoring in Psychology. She is a published author and has written thirty books. Katrina lives in the forest Eden of the area surrounding the El Dorado National Forest near Placerville, California.
