About the Author
Balls, brawn, and brains. Thomas Duder is noted for having at least two out of the three. A young man with a penchant for writing and vulgar, over-the-top displays of power and fight sequences that will take your breath away and ignite your imagination, Thomas Duder (The "Author of the Things" as he's called) is completely focused on one thing and one thing only: utter, absolute and total domination of the world (of literaty violence). Using a cadre of gonzo-level scenes of action and unbeilvable accounts of derring-do, Thomas Duder uses his writing to find other like-minded metal-headed maniac warriors fed by the same cosmic rays of the very same alien overlords who have empowered him and, together, decimate all those who would dare oppose his will. Committed to his quest at an infinite degree, Thomas Duder struggles valiantly forth against all odds to obliterate the weird veil of obscurity that keeps the metal-headed maniac warriors (don't forget, fed and empowered by the cosmic rays of alien overlords!) from finding their true leader! Go go, Thomas Duder! Wreak havoc and let loose the hounds of Creativity! For love! For life! For SCIENCE! FOR ART~! And, especially FOR MONEEEEEEEEEY!

I ran through this book so fast and it held my interest non stop. Duder takes you on a journey to the other side of Frank that will shock and amaze you. And yes Frank figures out how to get coffee in his new place. I can not wait for the next book and then the next to come out after reading his work. I tell you again I would love to see this as a TV series and to unfold on the big screen. So see all this magic unfold is truly amazing. Slam it Duder....
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!
All lovers of Urban Fantasy will need to read this series, it just keeps getting better.
Tabbo 2: Magic and Mayhem is the third book in The Generalist series and it is filled with new tricks, new magic, new people - who are really old friends and old enemies. We start to delve a little deeper into the person that is Frank, The Generalist.
I have recently noticed, as a reader I like the authors that have 'new' things. Some authors cruise along the same story line and the characterization and interactions are the only thing pulling it through, but this series and this book have everything. Awesome characters that you're always learning new things about. For example The Order of the Magi are so interesting, they are a complex order of magic users in a complex world of Magic and they definitely help to expose a different facet of Frank. On the other hand, Dash is at the shop by himself and we really explore how dangerous and cunning he can really be.
The character interactions are hilarious! - I can hear Frank and Dash in my head, I swear. Let alone these new character's we're introduced to who have history with Dash and Frank.
The writing is fabulous. There are no stagnant scenes, everything included is needed for the audience's bread crumb, trail of clues. You have to be paying attention or something will fly straight over your head. The 'Overdrive empowered logic' that Frank's brain jumps about with, only adds to the suspense. You feel like your always a step behind him and when you find out 'whatever it was', really your like a whole city block behind. Words and scenes flow really well and I could feel the mysterious story arc building tension throughout and towards the end I was just waiting for the shoe to drop. BAM!
Overall, Taboo 2 is a great new addition to The Generalist world and I cannot wait for Taboo 3: Magic and Mayhem Part 2 to be released.
I love the long running joke about everything happening before Frank's morning coffee.
Heh. It is a serious issue though. Heh...
What a last sentence. It deserves a high five and a Damn it Duder!
