Update on 8/28/12:
After a year the cable still works however it seems to have a short in it which causes the music to cut in and out until you jiggle the wire. It has gotten progressively worse over the past couple of months. I am going to buy another one, as I don't have another solution other than bluetooth. I did try a bluetooth adapter from Griffin, the type that plugs into the lighter socket and you plug this Grom cable into it instead of your iphone or other audio device. However, the bluetooth music sounded a little "tinny" and did not have the same quality as just plugging the Grom cable into the car.
I am reducing my original review from 5 stars to 4 stars because the cable is shorting out. It seems that others posting reviews have had the same problem. However, I would still recommend the cable as I don't have another solution at this point.

Once again, after 9 months this time, the cable has developed another short in the 3.Read more ›
Update on 1/4/12:
Worked well while it worked. Grom unit stopped working after about 3 months, wiring went bad, you could hear only rear or front speakers, then only one speaker, ultimately nothing. It worked on '08 MB ML320 with ipod adapter and EVO 3D or any other audio device with a jack. I didn't change any settings at all on the car Aux button or phone.
Not worth that amount of money for only three months of use.
Great idea implemented into great and affordable product. If your vehicle has an IPOD dock, save yourself a lot of money and buy this product, instead of trying to go back to 3.5mm jack installed...
Great solution for under $20!
For the Audi, there are aftermarket devices you can install in the back of your stereo to add an aux input, but they're expensive, you need to take the whole stereo out of the dash, etc., etc. If you have an iPod dock in your Audi, this cable will give you your 3.5mm stereo aux input for way less money, in about 15 seconds of setup time. My only beef, not with the cable, but rather with the car, is that there's no super-obvious way to have the glove box closed and have the cable accessible without running the risk of crimping it. I'm still experimenting with exactly where to dangle it so that I don't crush it with the glove box closed. Maybe I'll drill a hole in the bottom of the glove box. Not.
Best investment for those who has smart phones and want to listen songs online .
HIGHLY recommended for all VW OWNERS.

I was extatic when I read the review describing how wonderful this product is for a 2009 Jetta. This is the 5th cable I have purchased for the poorly made Jetta dock. Read morePublished 7 days ago by Amazon Customer
Its crap. The audio plug wears out very quickly and you will be messing up with it while driving. Ive had 4 so far, each lasted no more than 2 months. Not for everyday use.Published 14 days ago by D Rosado
I have a 2007 VW Rabbit that had an iPod dock built into the armrest. I used this to be able to hook my phone up to the stereo system before I bought an aftermarket one. Read morePublished 19 days ago by T. Mickelson
Works like a charm. Changes classic ipod docking stations into something with an aux cord that I can plug my phone or computer into, anything with a headphone jack works great.Published 25 days ago by harmonie
