How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I read this a few years ago in PDF form, but I bought the book so I'd be able to highlight all the juicy material. This is literally the biggest red pill one can swallow.

A deft encapsulation of history and politics - largely in the Anglosphere - over the last 300 years and a rigorous analysis of what went wrong and how it might be remediated.

Minds like this give us hope for a good future.

This author is absolutely brilliant. He is the primary founder of the american school of neoreactionary thought, also know as the Dark Enlightenment, along with the British philosopher Nick Land. Together, the two have spawned an entire online movement of philosophical thought that rejects modernity, democracy, and equality in favor of radical solutions to the problems of government, ranging from "neocameralism" to propertarianism to anarcho-capitalism. Though their sophisticated critiques are all similar, their prescriptions are far ranging. This work is an absolute must for understanding anti-democratic right-wing thought.

A great mental redpilling experience. Yarvin/Moldbug will tear your assumptions about intellectual orthodoxy apart and feed them to the wolves. This is pretty much a must-read for the open-minded intellectual. The only downside is that this is available, in an inferior format, for free at moldbuggery.blogspot.com

Undoubtedly a genius
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 11, 2018
Moldbug certainly has an unusual style. The start of each of his major tracts is written with almost the express intent of putting off anyone that may not have the stomach for the coming assault. It seems likely though that in future centuries he will be noted as one of the most important philosphers of the 21st century. Once you've read his work you see the ripples spreading out across society, all the celebrities, think tanks and statesmen who have read his works. This is a blogger whose influence has changed the world. Nonetheless, he is a long way from being a household name. Let's be clear though, it's entirely possible that he's totally mad. Even possible that you're mad, after all, you're reading a review of one of Moldbug's books (what on earth even lead you here?). At the end of the day though, he's correct on basically all the science, and so it's just a case of whether you agree with the diagnosis and the suggested treatment (the treatment is much better explained in the Patchwork series, so read that as well).
'A Gentle Introduction' can come across as a little America centric for the European reader. Given his predilection for rummaging through history, you'll probably want to have a good understanding out your own history as well before reading this, otherwise he'll be able to lead you where ever he wants: enter with your own opinions.
You can read all of this for free on his blog. I definitely recommend buying it here instead though as it's far too long to read in blog format.
So with all said, I should probably warn you not to read this book because it will make you think. If you don't want to think, then definitely do not read this book.
