The book moves along at a steady space and the characters are well fleshed out, but there's nothing memorable about this book. It's not a badly written book; it just blends in with many others. I also found the end of this to be too syrupy sweet and Grey needed to make the father more responsible. If you're in the mood for something exciting, this is not the novel you need; but if you don't mind some lazy reading, this might work for you.

In the end, I abandoned the book about 60% of the way through. I just could not raise the enthusiasm to finish it because I really could not bring myself to care much about the characters.
