This one slipped under my radar, as I wasn’t aware of its release. Purchased immediately on 4K UHD after watching a low quality compressed version from streaming. Great story with lots of humor, action, and twists and turns. Acting was great. Picture quality is just shy of excellent. The Dolby Atmos audio is spot on (sorry, no judgment here, but I can’t speak for soundbar owners). I regularly enjoy this film and highly recommend picking up the 4K UHD disc. Kindly support physical media! Edit: The recently released limited series based off this movie on streaming is very enjoyable. Too bad it’s unavailable to physically own!

    I kept seeing shorts on YouTube. I initially thought that with all the shorts I saw and how many action sequences I saw, I might be disappointed. I was not disappointed. I liked the movie. I'm gonna guess that the actors enjoyed making this movie. Some of the clothes are dang spiffy and others you just think, "I bet there are some people that actually do enjoy looking like a 70's couch." Anyways, yeah there is language and guns, yada yada. It's a fun little movie. It won't blow out your eardrums and you won't have to continually try and brighten the screen because everything is filmed in a dark setting. For that alone I was thankful.

    One of the best flicks I've seen in a long time. I like most of Guy Ritchie's stuff - until now my fav was Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, but The Gentlemen might be usurping that top spot. The characters are so complex and interesting. Most of them have both really good loveable qualities and some really bad ones (although some of the players are just bad). I had to watch it a few times to get all of the nuance, as is true with most films like this. So much to say, but it won't be spoon fed. Darkly comedic, which is my favorite approach to any message. Probably not for everyone because it really does get dark at times, but definitely for me!! And Colin Ferrell, yes! He plays one of my favorite characters...maybe ever! Enjoy. Savor. And then watch it again. 😉
