I noticed that many buyers said that this wasn't an OEM part. So, the first time I tried to buy this, there was many sellers under this item. I guess some sellers weren't selling OEM parts. So I filed a complaint with Amazon, but at the same time, I bought this part from an Audi parts seller. I received a true OEM part. Then I decided to buy another one. This time, Amazon has gotten rid of all the sellers, and it's sold by Amazon. I ordered again, and I got an OEM part.

Part is so simple, but it works well and saves you from destroying your wheel's finish if you were using a metallic screw driver or other metallic tools.

This is a lie. P. Chan's review is exactly correct. Picture shows what appears to be Audi part Identification on the part. The part received does not have any marking, except the plastic bag it is in has a paper barcode sticker that says "Genuine Audi 8D0012244A" . Not true. It also does not fit in the tire change holder designed for the OEM part.

That said - it works. And it is soft enough not to break. At this price there is no reason to misrepresent the part.

First off, these are not the genuine wheel bolt cap remover. I have the original one that came with my car and I wanted a few spare ones. I attached a few pictures to show the differences. The one I purchased did not have any stamping on it and the two prongs on the one purchased here flares out. Because these flare out more, you have to insert these more accurately or it wouldn't grab correctly. All in all, it gets the job done.

It is a very underwhelming looking tool, but it works like a champ. I needed to pop the covers off my Model X lug nuts, and the rims have very little clearance to work - You certainly can’t get your fingers in to pop one of the caps off, and going in with a screw driver seemed like a recipe for damaged rims. With this tool it took about a second to pop each one off it really worked well.

It has the same quality and molding as the original including the VW and Audi Rings, Germany and 8D0 012 244 A, as well as the Manufacture Date clock, 6 17. Seems like the real thing to me. It's expensive for a molded piece of plastic, but well worth it!

I didn't find this in my 2019 Q7, and as of Feb 2020, if you order from seller "Circuit Spec R", you likely have an OEM. The tool does feel a little flimsy, but does the job nonetheless.

I also own a 2018 Volvo XC90. I was hoping the tool also works on it. Nope, not the case.

I re-ordered this tool a second time and a genuine audi logo tool arrived. I've updated my review to 4 stars to reflect that. If you get one that is not genuine return it and try again.

There is not a single marking on this tool and it came in a generic bag with a generic label. Not even the marking in the picture is on the tool. If you think this is stamped AUDI or stamped anything for that matter you have spent too much money for this piece of plastic.
