Please use your common sense when considering this item. Also when you read the poor reviews. This liner is aluminum coated with ceramic to give a nonstick performance. It cannot be all ceramic like a crock pot it would Crack under the pressure. The ceramic coating is NOT Teflon. It's ceramic which performs like nonstick agents.

After reading reviews on this product I was a little hesitant to purchase. I shouldn't have worried so much! This does not feel cheap or thin to me. It really is a nice pot and the price point is right for me. It works well, doesn't have even a fraction of the sticking that the stainless does (which has its place and I use regularly).
I make a lot of sauces and it's very nice to not worry about the bottom of the pan getting too hot and burning. While I still watch it carefully I've not had any issues yet.
One Month Update Jan 1, 2018: This has become the only inner pot I use. It's just so much easier to clean after cooking when compared to the stainless version. I've not had any heat issues at all. I was concerned early on that there would be "hot spots" from the element due to the fact that the bottom of this pan isn't double or triple layer like the stainless. This hasn't been the case at all.
I've used my stainless inner pot to store things so that I can use the non-stick exclusively. I've used it about 20 times in the last month with NO signs of wear. I only use bamboo / wood / plastic utensils so I'm can't speak to its hardiness with metal utensils.

Either way it's nice to have a second pot and this one had the best price I could find. I will update if the coating comes off but it seems pretty darn solid. As with any coating you want to use wood or plastic utensils and not metal but that's pretty standard.

Easy to clean very nice ceramic coating. Fits perfectly and is an excellent price for a second pot. I like to have it with a lid so I can prep something the night before, put the lid on and pop it in the Instant Pot the next morning for dinner when I get home at night.

Was so excited to get this. Opened it to find it dinged on the corner. No biggie, but when I put in inside the Instant Pot, found that it was too big! I could barely fit it inside and the lid won't close with it on! My husband measured it and found it to be slightly larger than the liner that comes with it. Returned it the same evening!

We use our Instant Pot nearly every day so we were constantly having to hold up dinner while the other liner was being cleaned. Wait -- no more. If you use your Instant Pot frequently - I can't recommend getting a second liner more. This one is different than the one that came with the pot and it makes life a thousand times easier. Less scrubbing and far more easier to clean than the original. I have been debating getting another one of these non-stick liners to replace the original one. I just feel this one gets cleaner with less effort.

I had to wait for this pot due to back order, but it was so worth it. Some of the pasta creations I make in my Instant Pot tend to burn to the bottom of the stainless steel pot that comes with the IP. If I reduce the time too much, the pasta may not be done to my liking. Although other things do fine in the stainless steel pot, this one type of dish was proving a problem for pot cleanup until I got this non-stick pot to use for that. It works great and I no longer have cleanup issues. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great non-stick go too pot... great replacement for the stainless steel.. very pleased

The Instant Pot ceramic non-stick inner pot is Teflon, PTFE and PFOA free from the Amazon ad and verified with the Instant Pot website. The ceramic coating is grey colored. Size is virtually identical to the original stainless steel pot (see pics) in terms of diameter and depth. I am not sure why other reviews noted a size difference. The ceramic is a coated aluminum (I think) pot, so on my electronic scale the stainless pot weights 1 lb 14 oz and the ceramic 1 lb 7 oz. It fits into the Instant Pot regular and Ultra fine with no problems. I use it as my #1 pot and saved the stainless steel as a backup. I've used the pot probably 3-times on average per week for about 8 months.
The ceramic coating works very well, cooking or sautéing I've had no problems with sticking. Able to use less oil if sautéing. Cook time seems to be roughly the same between the two pots, in spite of their weight and composition difference. I don't sauté much with the pot but would guess the stainless pot might take a little longer to get up to top temperature. I have cooked stews and rice with no sticking. Once cooked it can be covered with the Instant Pot glass lid (link below) and kept warm or put into the oven to keep warm, however there are no handles, but the lip helps a little with kitchen gloves to transfer to the over or elsewhere .
I use wood or nylon type utensils and have had no problem with chipping or scratching. I have no problems with staining after cooking red beets or curry, but cleaned up after cooking and didn't let sit in colored liquids overnight. Cleaning is easy using pads/sponges made to clean teflon type pans, one can also put the pot in the dishwasher.
I have noted the lip on the edge pot has had the ceramic come off. I think this is due to the fastening of the lid to the pot, but again the ceramic on interior and exterior of the pot has remained intact.
Overall pleased with this product, so much more easy than the stainless steel pot.

Not suitable for Saute’ mode, will ruin the machine!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 22, 2020Size: 3 quartStyle Name: Inner PotVerified Purchase
This pot is NOT made to be used with a Sauté function!! I was making rice with some onions and spices. I chose Saute’ function first and after a few mins when it heated up, the whole cooker went blank - electricity completely out .. like a blown fuse - complete shutdown and it doesn’t start back up again. It ruins the pot!!
This has happened to me a few days after I bought my instant pot. At that time, I wasn’t sure what’s wrong and thought it might just be a faulty machine. So I returned the Instant Pot to Amazon (it cost a fortune) and got a replacement pot. I cooked with the stainless steel inner pot with no problems and then tried to cook in this ceramic one with Sauté function and again the whole pot went dead. Clearly the ceramic insert was not made to conduct and distribute heat properly when on Suate (perhaps it just works with pressure mode). But this is an original Instant Pot accessory and there is no warning whatsoever on what not to do .. no warning that this will ruin the pot, killing all electricity. I live in Denmark so we don’t have a repair center or anything. I wrote to Instant Pot customer service and got no reply. Very very disappointed because I now have a Machine that is useless without electricity. So pls beware if you are buying this - do not Sauté. It will ruin your machine.

good insert but the coating could be better.

I really like having a ceramic nonstick liner for the Instant pot but the finish on this one is not as good as other ceramic coated pots I have. I have only used it twice and it is stained with turmeric, even after running it through a hot dishwasher cycle. Turmeric is difficult on most surfaces but my white ceramic coated saucepans do not stain like that.

It's good with but doesn't conduct heat as well as the stainless steel version
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 14, 2018Size: 6 QuartStyle Name: Inner PotVerified Purchase
Used this for the first time yesterday to cook a stew. I find the stainless steel one overheats easily and meat can stick to the bottom. Although this ceramic pot handled the browning much better than the stainless steel one after cooking the meat was still a little tough.
I used exactly the same timings I would have used on the stainless steel pot so I can only conclude that this one does not conduct heat as well as the other. Therefore an increase of time is needed I would say by 5 or 10 minutes.
I still like the pot though as it definitely sticks less than the stainless steel version and it was incredibly easy to clean. I forgot to clean after use and just soaked the pot in hot soapy water the next day and it all cleaned up with no problem.

I now have 2 stainless steel instant pot liners which I love but I got this one for rice in particular. It is great. What I really like is how the additional liners make my instant pot so much more useful especially when cooking for a large family or making extra for freezing. The pots go well in the fridge or even in the oven to keep warm whst my side dishes are in the instant pot.
A huge quantity of chilli and rice for example can be done in my 6l pot. No need to buy a second instant pot.

Having looked for a new inner pot for my harvest pressure pro without any success ( not available in the uk ☹️), I looked at the measurements of this pot and it was almost identical, so, I purchased it against the recommendation of the many reviews,
I tried it and hey presto, perfect size, next I added water and sealed the lid ( didn’t want soup or dinner on the ceiling! )
The cooker got up to pressure , sealed and cooked as normal.👍 next I tried pumpkin soup, yet again perfect 🍵, I have now used it a couple of times and am really pleased, not sure about the non stick yet its looking a bit marked on the bottom and I only used wooden or plastic utensils, .. time will tell, but so far 🤞🏻All ok
Have to say Harvest not very responsive to emails asking for help in purchasing there products
This is my second review, I am really pleased with this pot, I have now purchased a second one, this fits my harvest pressure pro perfectly , extremely easy to clean , totally non stick so far, I don’t put it in the dishwasher as I feel it could be too harsh a wash and feel this could cause a promlem with the non stick coating,
Even more pleased that I got this when on offer 👍 life’s good 😀
