- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2016This book, in an analogous manner to that of Pressman's book, "Electromagnetic Fields and Life", is a summary and compendium of experimental research on the topic at the time of the publication.
And like Pressman's text, it is a boring, but meaty review & summary of experimental results. Read it for the coverage of these subtle phenomena.
No quantitative theory of phenomena is described in this book but the breath of coverage is amazing; from heart attacks to evolutionary biology.
The book discusses a lot of speculative approaches, such as a biological form of Josephson Effect, in order to account for the sensitivity of organisms to small changes in the geomagnetic field. I think such speculations are fine as one gropes for a quantitative theory.
