So, I read the reviews and decided to buy this despite claims that some jars were half empty. Lo and behold, mine was, too. The jar label says 12 oz, and I decided to weigh the contents to see just how much I was shorted. I was sure I only had about 2/3 of that, at best! Well, as you can see in the photo, this cashew butter weighs in at close to 12 oz! I figure the tiny bit that's missing is probably what I licked off the spatula. Why does the manufacturer use a jar that's too big? I don't know. But, I also don't care, now that I know I'm getting what I paid for. I'll buy it again--it's delicious!

I wasn't sure about this at first since I normally buy another brand that doesn't have salt but this turned out to be really good! There's a slight hint of salt that enhances the taste but certainly nothing overpowering. The best part is that this does not separate. It stays creamy and ready to go and is a great consistency and easily spreadable. The jar, while not large, is a good size for at least a week of daily sandwiches or use on toast.

Overall, that is a great cashew butter and I definitely recommend it.

Update: I am now on my third jar of this and it is still excellent quality. One jar did have the salt settle to the bottom so the last inch or so was a bit saltier, but it was not overwhelming. This is still an awesome product and I still highly recommend it.

The manufacturer says that it does not need to be refrigerated, but I'm a bit of a paranoid food storage freak, and so I do refrigerate this, but let me tell you, if you live in a warm area, the stuff itself stays very fluid, unlike some of the more popular nut butters out there. They make this with real stuff and, from what I can tell, plenty of tender loving care. Don't let the elevated price tag dissuade you. It's very much worth it. Tastes like something grandma once made.

OMG - this stuff is "the bees knees".

I love natural peanut butter, but over the past few years became sensitive to peanuts, and had to stop eating it. I had never had cashews before (for some reason their crescent shape always turned me off), but kept reading about how a lot of people who have problems with peanuts can eat cashews. I decided to give this a try and I'M HOOKED. Cashews have a naturally sweet taste that can only be duplicated in peanuts by adding sugar.

It's so hard to stay away from the jar that I have to hide it from myself in the back of the cupboard. Since it's so pricey, I'll probably start buying lower quality cashews and grinding my own cashew butter. I just hope my homemade version tastes this good - lol

Just stir it up and make sure to scrape the sides, and you're good for a few months. Overall I just think it's a little bland compared to my other brand. This resulted in part of the product being bland and unseasoned, and part of the product being very crunchy and far to salty to taste good. It can be hard to mix salt into a product that is nuts and salt only, but I would think if Georgia Grinders can grind cashews, they can surely grind and mix sea salt in for a more consistent and tasty product.
