My husband wanted steel toe work boots that were insulated. He's been a Danner Rainforester fan for years, but he couldn't find any Danners that were steel toe AND insulated. Someone at a boot store recommended these Georgia boots and said they were better than Danner boots. I admit it appears that they tried to copy the rainforester model. It has similar laces and the exact same sole (compared to the ones my husband bought 5 years ago). Well, he's had these Goergia boots for about 6 months. One of the laces has already snapped. The soles of both boots are starting to delaminate from the rest of the shoe too. So, while he's kept his Danners for 5 years, these boots have failed him at 6 months. What a waste of $250 bucks.
