I chose this book - kind of by mistake -but it was well worth it. Information about O'Keefe pe se was, for my purposes, minimal, because I was writing a term paper about O'Keeffe at Lake George, but the book deals wih a some little-known works in O'Keeffe's life. There are the usual flower close-ups and dessicated skulls, but also included are some of her watercolors (who knew?) and work she did while living in Manhatten with Stieglitz. When one examines this coffee-table-sized book, one can only regret that the view of O'Keefe that most of us have acquired is pretty much one-dimensional, partly because of Stieglitz's role in creating the myth and partly because of her acceptance of it.

This is a large in size not thickness beautiful book. I purchased it for only 78 cents with postage. There are only about ten pages of print to read. For the price I paid I got enough information of Georgia O'Keeffe and parts of her life and various styles of her painting.

Outside of art galleries, this book introduces a painter's work in the best way possible--lots of large color reproductions with some basic text about the painter and her work.
