About the Author
Robert S. “Bob” Davis is a professor of Genealogy and History, Wallace State College, Hanceville, Alabama. His more than 1,000 publications and hundreds of public presentations on records and research have received national recognition. For thirty years, he has written a news and advice column for Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly. Theodore Owen "Ted" Brooke is a seventh generation Georgian born in 1943 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. Ted retired from AT&T in 1996 and has been engaged in genealogical and historical pursuits since then. He has been a member of the Georgia Genealogical Society since 1976, serving as Treasurer and Vice President. Ted is also a contributing member to several Georgia genealogical societies. He is currently working on several major Georgia titles.
