Lightweight Everyday Carry
This lightweight everyday carry knife has an open frame that is the ultimate in minimalist design. Easy to clean, carry, and open, the Paraframe is an effortless addition to your pocket or belt clip. Available in multiple blade variations, this knife handles it all.
Lighter than a set of car keys, this small knife comes from the same drawing board as its larger Paraframe siblings and gives new meaning to the term 'traveling light'. The fine edge blade and tanto point are small but remain effective for a wide array of daily needs, from slicing through stubborn rope to opening a cardboard box.
Don’t let the 3-inch folded size of the Mini fool you; Gerber gives this little guy the same attention to detail that has won the larger Paraframe models a dedicated following. You’ll notice the same ergonomic metal handle and frame lock design, and it delivers the same positive blade engagement and balanced feel, even at this size.
- Steel Type: 7Cr17MoV
- Handle Material: 3Cr13
- Lock Type: Frame Lock
- Thumb studs facilitate quick, easy blade engagement
- Pocket clip offers security and keeps your knife within easy reach at all times
- Black titanium nitride-coated blade reduces unwanted reflection and defends against corrosion

But, I will say the open action is a bit stiff. As well as the arm to close the knife. If I could change anything I would definitely make those easier to maneuver. But it does ensure you will have a solid close and open. You don't have to worry about it opening in your pocket or bag, and the blade won't close on your during use. And for me it's usually a two handed task. I can't just flick it open with my thumb or anything. But that is in true pocket knife style. Still a great knife though. Definitely would recommend it.
Don't forget to mark if this was helpful or not!
So imagine my glee when I saw Gerber had come out with a solid black Paraframe knife with a Tanto blade. Ordered that one with no hesitation and was quite surprised when it arrived. It was slightly larger than the original, in both size and weight. This one is almost an inch longer and has a nice weighty feel to it, without being bulky and heavy. Still, whip this knife out and people will notice - you don't mess around when it comes to pocket knives.
This knife is built solid - just metal all the way through. No plasticy handles or flimsy wood accents like that knife your grandpa carries. The blade is razor sharp straight from the package, and easily stays that way with regular sharpening. The matte silver finish on my old one eventually wore away to expose a very awesome looking reflective silver underneath, it aged so well!
My only (very minor) complaint is that occasionally the little screws holding it together come a bit loose causing the blade to jiggle ever so slightly. But with the right bit, the blade was easily tightened.
Do yourself a favor and buy the best knife you can get for this price - ridiculously cheap - for the life you will get out of this tool. I can not recommend it highly enough!!
good feel in the hand... I dont always like skeleton frame knives, but the everything is nicely finished(rounded corners on the handle) for a solid comfortable feel.
Came sharp out of the box. I accidentally touched the tip and it gave me a little cut, noting bad(my fault should have been more careful)
clip is a bit tight, but in time it'll work in....
A bummer there isn't a thumbstud as stated in the erroneous description. No way to [reasonably] have a one-handed opening on this mini-knife.
A few of the pros are that the blade is still very sharp even after a couple weeks of wear. The tanto tip is very nice for puncturing items.
The only cons I have found this far is that the black color on the clip is starting to wear and fade already. Also the black color on the blade has scratched a little.
Over all the perfect knife for me for everyday carrying and it doesn't take up a lot of room in my pocket.
