I bought the books to find my great grand parents. It didn't help me but I sent them to the head of a german immigrant researcher and they found them very useful. I found my great great grand parents due to a picture or their head stone and a translation of a ship's manifest. I knew their ages and the ages and names of the parents and kids. I searched every ship for a family of 5 with those names and ages. I found them listed under a different name. Their name was spelled phonetically.
