- colorful pictures
- interesting story line
- new words to add to your vocabulary (if the child learns to find out the meaning using a dictionary or asking parents)
- content and picture ratio is age appropriate.
Cons:
- Check the picture this chapter on boyfriend is unnecessary for the children. Especially it's mentioned that the character keeps changing the boyfriend. You can see the photo frames or the boyfriend no.38. It's upto your parenting style but check it out.
- Words are intentionally misspelled to make it interesting. Such as famous is famouse. Amusement is amousement. They tried to "mousify" the words.
I am a jolly phonics teacher and I think these words (new/familiar) would confuse the child with spellings. Check if this book is age appropriate.
