About the Author
Reverend Richard H. Johnson is the co-founder, President, and CEO of Christian Formation Ministries, Inc. (CFM) in New Albany, Indiana. CFM works with incarcerated and recently-released inmates and their families, helping them help themselves to become gainfully-employed contributing citizens, and preventing their children from following their parents into a lifestyle of crime and substance abuse. He also serves as the Volunteer Chaplain at Henryville Correctional Facility in Henryville, Indiana. Involved full-time in prison ministry since 1993, he has ministered to thousands of inmates in correctional facilities and re-entry programs throughout the United States and Canada. Richard still travels, doing concerts, leading seminars, and working with pastors and other church leaders. An accomplished guitarist and songwriter, Richard is known as “Stonefingers” to those who appreciate his unusual gospel-folk-blues style of "Christian Swamp Music." Richard has developed turnkey programs to train prison volunteers and mentors, and curricula such as “Renewing Our Minds,” a course that addresses criminal "stinking thinking and attitudes" from a Bible-based perspective, and challenges inmates to change their lives. His books are available on Amazon.com. Search for Richard Stonefingers Johnson. He serves on the Coalition of Prison Evangelists (COPE) Board of Directors, and the Advisory Boards of Floyd County Community Corrections in Indiana. He is also a member of the Rotary Club in New Albany, Indiana.
