I heard Mayer's song on the JC Penny commercial out for back to school and loved his voice. He has great vocals. Ths is a jazzy mix of an old 70's tune that will get you moving to the beat. Souful and artsy, his voice has an intriguing tone that makes you want to hear every word. I look forward to hearing more from Mayer Hawthorne and I hope he puts together a video for this song. Check out his version of another oldies hit, I wish it would rain. That video is interesting and again, vocals and jazz are great. Listen to instrumentals in his music, awesome! Btw, his real name is Andrew Mayer Cohen.

Please tell me you're not about to release a whole album of faithful covers, Mayer. You're brilliant when you create new music in the style of 70s classic soul, but do we really need another "karaoke" album on the market? I really hope this is the only cover version on the album...
