Helped me land my dream job so easily and I only read the first maybe 30-45 pages! If you are about to interview buy the book!

Exceptionally good. Ive taken out this book every single time I’ve had an interview in the last 5 years & felt like I nailed it every single time.

My advice, take your time with this book. It will take you some to get through, and you do have to put a good amount of thought into it to really have it payoff. But the feeling of being confident in any interview you’ll go on going forward, is really something special.

This is the book for anyone struggling with their fear of job interviews. It deals with the entire process, from getting ready for job interviews to accepting job offers (or dealing with rejections) and everything in between. Using the REV (Relevant, Excellent, and Verifiable) approach to interview questions in how you respond to them and how to fashion your stories that you carry to the interviews using the SOAR approach are good ways the author has used to make this book practical to those getting ready for job interviews. It lists questions that are commonly asked but where most candidates fumble ("Tell me about yourself"). This book is not just about job interviews, but also about how to get your mindset ready to get that job offer! The author has done an excellent job of packaging all the relevant content and her experience in a concise volume that sells for a great price!

This book changed my entire mindset heading into an interview...it’s revamped how I represent myself and has flipped my confidence by 180%!

I am so thankful this information was laid out, the why behind each important detail as well as the why to NOT share certain aspects, all with clear guidance. My struggle with other interview guidance/prep materials is you will have examples of questions and sample answered. Also it removing your authentic self completely. It drives your focus on the answers that are given to you instead of how to formulate your very own sales pitch from your authentic self. I don’t want someone else responses and have fallen victim to doing this and not getting the job.

I followed every single step, typed up, printed, and even role played in the mirror to ensure I didn’t stumble over what I had wrote. My discovery was I would use words in my stories and opening statements that I don’t use in my verbal conversations. It’s funny how we write so different than how we speak out loud. Huge win for me on this. After composing my opening REV statement, my 20 stories, and my closing REV statement... I felt like I could smash any interview. I will be transparent enough to say... I had to revamp and review and re-read until I stopped rambling on; kind of like this review... LOL!! I went back and read the book twice and even bookmarked pages as if this was my working textbook!

Through this process I learned that even if I didn’t get the job; I gave it everything I had and was so much more prepared to continuing interviewing elsewhere.

I bought this book to prepare myself for a senior leadership role. This was an internal position; so I was preparing for it to be a slow moving process as I’ve heard so many times before.

After just 3 weeks; I landed the job!!! Week 1; smashed the HR phone interview, just the next week I was interviewing with the hiring manager; and received immediate feedback that I was impressive and more prepared than anyone they had interviewed; the 3rd week I interviewed with the hiring managers boss & to end the 3rd week; I was contacted by HR and offered the position!!

I contribute my success to the guidance provided in this book. It’s not a magic text; it’s a leader leading other leaders!!! This is exactly the guidance I needed.

This is an very good to excellent book. I would probably give it 4 1/2 stars. I am 15 years into my career, so some of this information was a review. During my next interview, I will try to incorporate a few of her recommendations. One of the recommendations that is very good is to really focus time and effort on crafting an excellent response to "tell me about yourself". My previous responses in other interviews have been long-winded compared to what she recommends. She also makes a great point about not memorizing your responses and by rehearsing them ideally using video. Her recommendation regarding creating numerous stories at each of your companies makes a lot of sense and can be used to respond to various behavioral questions. I think that reading her book in combination with one or more other books on this topic may be great.

While it is written well in a most readable way there isn't really anything new. But it would be good for a brush up or if one is going for the first ever of a lifetime interview.

I purchased this book for the purposes of preparing for an upcoming job interview. I had been through a couple of other interviews during the year, and wasn't successful and so I was looking for some strategies to refresh how I approached job interviews. This book was incredibly helpful and is packed with strategies to apply. It really changed my perspective on how to approach preparing for interviews.

Bottom line - I was successful during the interview and got the job I purchased this book to prepare for! This book was really instrumental in providing some new strategies and changing my mindset about interviews. If you are feeling stuck, and like you need some extra "oompf" in your interview preparation - this is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it.
