The author uses a 15 minute timer system and hits the high points. I think this is well worth the money if you need somewhere to start and are feeling overwhelmed.
If you need to go on from here, then getting the Flylady book Sink Reflections(on Kindle) under 10 bucks would be helpful.
The 15 minute timer method is a great way to slice a detestable task down to size. Work at it for 15 minutes, swallow the medicine, then get back to having fun. Life can improve 15 minutes at a time. Flylady uses this method on her site, but if flylady is overwhelming then start here.
You won't be starting any big project with this booklet, each project is a mini bite towards better organization as a whole, and by the end, a lot of your household will be functioning well even if you skip some days.
What I love about this book is that it is concise, organized and works in my REAL LIFE! Even though I read through the whole book first, you could just read one or two paragraphs for the day and then get to cleaning. No long complicated system to figure out, or acronyms to memorize. Just some great little projects that take 15 or less.
Each week you have 5 weekday 15 min decluttering projects, extra projects for the weekend when you have extra time, and KIT (keep it together) cleaning tips that are easy to incorporate into your life.
My house is not perfectly organized, but I have worked through several problem areas that frequently get ignored. The way she describes the clutter in these often ignored areas just cracks me up - it is like she has been in my house, looked through my drawers, and sat me down like a good friend to tell it to me straight. I especially love the section on getting rid of styling products, that this was going to "hurt." I hate throwing it away because I spent so much money on it, but if it doesn't work, why am I keeping it! It did hurt, but felt so good afterwards.
After I am done with the 28 days, I will probably go back and finish all of the weekend projects I didn't get to. I want a sequel! More projects please!
My review is short and sweet, just like the book. Buy it!
